Save the Children has a fabulous community of volunteers who donate their time to help our cause- and we want say a huge THANK YOU to them for all they do! Many of our programs are facilitated by volunteers who devote their time to giving Tasmanian families, young people and children the care and support they need to reach their potential in life. THANK YOU to all our program volunteers!... Our Op Shop is run by a wonderful team of people who go above and beyond for us. Their dedication and positive attitudes are what make our shop successful! THANK YOU to all our shop volunteers! Every event we put on has the support of a group of people who are willing to come to meetings, promote our event, set up and most importantly, raise funds for Save the Children's work in Tassie. 03.01.2022 Today we celebrated Fatherhood at our 3rd Annual Father's Day Breakfast in the lovely DJ Motors Mitsubishi Showroom. Over 180 guests enjoyed hearing from our seriously riveting guest speakers, Mr. Brendan Gale, CEO of Richmond FC, and Tassie's own George Bailey. Wrest Point's Dominic Baker was a fabulous interviewer- we truly got a glimpse into the lives of these admirable sportsmen. The entertaining John Xintavelonis hosted the breakfast and kept us all laughing. Thanks Jo...hn for being a great MC! The Premier, The Honourable Will Hodgman joined us, as well as many other affluent individuals, politicians, and local businesses. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of our cause. Thank you to our Major Sponsors, Ford Scott Financial Planning Pty Ltd, who made this wonderful event possible! And again the very supportive DJ Motors for providing our venue. Thanks to all the local businesses who donated auction items that helped us raise funds for our Tassie programs helping LOCAL kids who need it most.
