24.01.2022 With Christmas just 4 weeks away we have put up the Christmas tree, hung up the decorations and are starting to get into the spirit of Christmas. Over recent years we have nominated charities that we have given to in lieu of sending Christmas cards and gifts to clients. This year we have named Summer Foundation as our main charity. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to the winner of the Saward Dawson Community Service and Social Impact Award, Lorraine Nozipho Ngwenya. Lorraine is committed to addressing youth unemployment. She is the founder of Useful Link, an organisation that seeks to empower young people in areas of employment, personal development and leadership. Having experienced the issue herself after finishing university, Lorraine dedicates her time by running employment workshops in schools, universities and you...th organisations. She also speaks to government and businesses to educate and bring about change. She worked with the Minister of Multiculturalism on the Recruit Smarter Initiative, which seeks to fight unconscious bias in hiring processes. Lorraine has worked with over 2,000 young people in the last 2 and a half years. The awards were held on Friday night and all of our staff that attended had a great night. We would also like to congratulate the other finalists who were nominated for this award! Thank you for the impact that you are making.

10.01.2022 Last week, we were visited by some very special guests, the Hohidiai Choir. We were privileged to hear them sing some beautiful songs. Hohidiai Choir is made up of some of the staff and students who attend Hohidiai School in North Maluku, Indonesia.... This school is devoted to helping people physically and emotionally, especially the poor and marginalised. They run a medical clinic, provide accommodation for orphaned and abandoned children and rehabilitation for patients needing long-term medical care. The 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards VIC was held virtually on Friday night where Madeline's award was announced. Madeline is creating positive impact through education. She is the co-founder of STEMSparX, an EdTech start-up that focuses on delivering an immersive STEM learning experience to students in regional Australia through a unique technology-backed approach. STEMSparX has so far assisted more than 500 students to discover the joy of learning and with five-day workshops for high school students.

The CCF Annual Community Award recognises the outstanding contribution of a member firm to their community through fundraising and volunteer activity.
