25.01.2022 What a great sign... thank you #Nick Warfield for your artistic thoughtful design ... Now placed on street side of my practice in Sawtell every Tuesday. I love the wooden knob on top... like the handle part of an acupuncture needle... and the round marks punctuated into the letters... like acupuncture points. You even placed a well into the middle of the symbol for a well (from the I Ching) meaning going to a deep place for inner nourishment. 11.01.2022 What have I received from the people in my life? In Japanese Psychology... one of the main great practices is Naikan... Self Reflection. In Naikan (pronounced nye-kan), you reflect on three main questions, or variations of these questions.... 1) What have I received from the people in my life? 2) What have I given to them? 3) What troubles and difficulties have I caused them? It is an intentionally structured method for intensely meditating on your life, interconnections, and missteps. It helps to develop a natural and profound sense of gratitude for blessing bestowed on you by others, blessings that were always there, but went unnoticed. It is a great practice if you find that gratitude often eludes you, if your mate, parents, friends and life frequently don’t live up to your expectations.
