21.01.2022 This may help a few of us

21.01.2022 We've got a blackout at the moment. This means our phones are also not working and are unable to take messages. Hopefully it will be all powered up again by the morning.

16.01.2022 Our phone system is not working at the moment. We've got a technician replacing the modem although that's not working either. Please leave a voice message ( if that option is available!). We'll be returning all calls as best we can. We're sorry for any inconvenience and hope it will be functioning properly soon.

14.01.2022 Don't miss out on this superannuation workshop that will keep you abreast of all the latest changes. Book your tickets online.

12.01.2022 Council works out the front of our building so parking is difficult if you're coming to our office. Unfortunately these works have knocked out of phone and internet access. We're not getting emails for today but we now have a mobile redirection in place for phone calls. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We're returning calls as quickly as we can.

10.01.2022 WE HAVE MOVED! Not very far, though, we're just around the corner. Visit us now at 2/33 Elizabeth St, Camden.

05.01.2022 We've got some telephone issues here with internet down. Technicians are working on it so please be patient.

05.01.2022 Our phones are down again and we're chasing the telco to help get the office back online. Leave us a message (if the voice mail works!) and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

02.01.2022 ATO recognises bushfire areas By Karen Stewart Recent bushfires have taken an enormous toll on Australians. If you’ve been directly affected by these bushfires ...there are options for relief of immediate tax obligations as well as the receipt of financial payments available to some in specific local government areas. Wollondilly and Camden areas have been particularly hard hit by the bushfires and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has recognised these areas as being so. Postcodes 2568 through to 2580 are automatically acknowledged as bushfire affected in addition the postcodes 2508, 2560, 2745, 2752, 2787. If you live within these postcodes of bushfire affected areas and you’ve been granted access to the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (DRP), you will receive an automatic deferral of activity statements lodgements and payments due in December 2019, January and February 2020. The new date for lodgement is now March 21, 2020. There is no need for you or your tax agent to contact the ATO to request a deferral in this instance. If your postcode is outside the recognised area but your home or business has been affected, contact the Emergency Support Infoline on 1800 806 218 when you’re able and if you need assistance. The ATO is updating its list of affected postcodes as damage assessments are completed. The DRP is a one-off payment available to people adversely affected by the bushfire in a profound way. This payment is $1,000 per adult and $400 for each child under the age of 16. The payment is to be treated as tax exempt which means you won’t pay tax on it, although the payment will form part of the calculation of reducing a tax loss. Claims are to be made via the Department of Human Services. There is a Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) providing income support to employees, primary producers and sole traders who can demonstrate they’ve experienced a loss of income due to the bushfires. This provides fortnightly payments up to 13 weeks to the applicable Newstart or Youth Allowance rate. This is not available to someone already receiving income support or a pension. The Camden, Wollondilly and Campbelltown areas boast several charities available to provide additional assistance to those people in need. These difficult times always allow Australians to show their community spirit and support. See more
