24.01.2022 Another great workshop today. It was a super special one because we had some familiar faces join us again after a few months apart. Looking forward to some extended rehearsals through the Christmas period. Watch this space for updates on the December / January rehearsal dates.

17.01.2022 What a wonderful weekend of music! It was so great to spend the last two days learning Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 under the guidance of guest conductor & cellist Gwyn Roberts & Music Director Jo Kennedy. A particular highlight for the weekend was the open rehearsal where we were able to perform parts of the symphony to our audience. We hoped everyone enjoyed it as much as we did! This event was made possible through support from the Regional Arts Development Fund, a Queensland Government and South Burnett Regional Council partnership promoting arts, culture and heritage. We would like to make special mention of the late Jim & June Bourner who among many instruments, also sponsored the Beethoven Symphony No. 5 score for SBCO.

10.01.2022 Our string ensemble and soloists had such a great time performing tonight at the Kingaroy Town Hall for our guests. Thanks so much to everyone who attended. We play music because we love it but it's extra special to share it with the community. A massive shout out to all of the volunteers who helped throughout the day and evening. Shout out also to Judy Crawford and her team for the delicious meals provided.

08.01.2022 And that is SBCYO all wrapped up for 2020! It was a short and sweet year for the group but once again they have come leaps and bounds. We thank all the musicians for their smiling faces and enthusiasm that they brought with them to every workshop. A big thanks to Music Director Jo Kennedy for her dedication and energy as well as guest tutors, mentors, parents and volunteers that made this year possible! ... Hope to see you all in 2021! ... The SBC Young Orchestra program was made possible thanks to the wonderful support from Red Earth Community Foundation and the Regional Arts Development Fund, a Queensland Government and South Burnett Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture.

08.01.2022 Can we take a second to give Trinity a big congratulations on graduating from year 12 this week!! Trinity has been a flautist with SBCO since she was in year six.
