25.01.2022 Garden at the Smithy Shop looking good

25.01.2022 What a fantastic refurbishment of The Leg Vice by our Blacksmith Andrew

23.01.2022 Shed Update At our fairly recent on-line Management Committee meeting we discussed a couple of activities that were likely to continue while the Shed is closed. These included things like watering The Garden and checking the mail. The point was made that these were likely to be low risk but that if anyone had a medical incident or a fall while at the shed there was a possibility they would not be found because of reduced activity at the site. Thus we decided to ask all memb...ers doing anything of this nature to make sure that they let a responsible adult know what they intended to do and to ask them to take appropriate action if they did not return within a reasonable time. So, please remember to do this! Yours Iain Salkield

07.01.2022 SHED CLOSURE due to COVID-19 I am sorry to tell you all that the shed will be closed from Midnight tonight (25/03/2020) in line with the Federal Government closure of Community Centres For suggestions about shed responses to this have a look at the Australian Men's Shed Association website. They are hoping to help shed members communicate with each other, both within and between sheds.... Please try and keep in contact with each other. Think about what we can do to improve our performance in this area and let me and the rest of the shed know what you would like to suggest. When will we re-open? When there is a vaccine or effective drug treatment for COVID-19 so listen to the news and perhaps check the AMSA website but don't hold your breath. Iain Salkield Secretary SBMS
