25.01.2022 E Grade will be looking to continue their great form with a good performance in the final game of 2020, against 2nd placed Coolbinia. Skipper Benade returns to the lineup to the lead the troops, along with a host of other talented inclusions. This one promises to be a great game of one day cricket, best of luck lads! Bottlemart Stirling Cellars thanks for the support!

25.01.2022 Today we had the official handover of the Clubroom keys for Bennett Park. We are now looking forward to the upcoming season in the new digs. The City of Stirling will be having an offical community opening of the new facility on the Sunday of the upcoming long weekend with further details to follow.

25.01.2022 Locky's men look to go 2 on the trot this week as they get on the road to Canning Vale. The Kopec lads return to the side, as well as crafty seamers Sheepdog Jones and Better Aspinall. Leading run scorer at the club, 'Voodoo' Dawson will be looking to continue his hot streak with the willow!

25.01.2022 A Grade had a fantastic, run chase win on Saturday against top-of-the-table Mundaring. The Sharks won the toss and sent in Mundaring, with cool bowling conditions for the Sharks quicks. Mundaring's batsmen batted very well, jumping onto the wayward sharks bowling, as line & lengths were all over the place. Wills and Martin batted exceptionally well, whilst the sharks fielders coughed up multiple dropped catches and run out opportunities. Ryan Christie bowled a very good into... the wind spell, Whilst 'old dog' Dixie Joy was the pick of the bowlers for his 2fa. Set an imposing 203 for victory, The Sharks lost a few early wickets and at one stage had slumped to be 4/53. Needing 142 off 20 overs after drinks, Skipper Joy and 'God' Christie led the fightback and were lucky to be aided by a couple of dropped chances. Joy was dismissed for 82, an 123 run stand with RJC, that gave the side a glimmer of a miraculous chase. Still needing 28 off the last 3.4 overs, Christie and Bolger got the lads over the line, at the completion of 39 overs! A fantastic win for A Grade, important for their season and potential finals berth!

24.01.2022 The Sharks A Grade play their first match at home this weekend against local rivals Stirling Hawks. Dixie Joy celebrates game 100, Tommy Webster returns to the sharks side for the first time in 6 years and Daniel Bonasera makes his shark debut! Go well boys.

24.01.2022 Locky's men host the C Grade grandy at Bennett in what promises to be a great game of one day cricket against Mt Lawley-Inglewood! Good luck to Locky and the boys!

24.01.2022 Score from today's intra club T20 game The Gandus 3 for 137 - Dave Spencer 53, Wade McKay 21 The Doosjes 6 for 139 in 18.4 over - Daniel Bonasera 55, Carlo Del Prete 21. Anthony Holmes 3 for 27

23.01.2022 A Grade made it 2 from 2 with a hard-fought win against Stirling. Tom Webster had a day out, taking his career best figures of 7/15 off 7.2 and also contributing 40 runs in an opening partnership of 85, with Jarrod 'King Pig' Aspinall. JA returning to form with a polished 57. The sharks bowled well in the back 20 overs, with great spells from Marlin, Figg and spin twins Scala and Doc McKay. The sharks then batted well to build early partnerships and chase down the total, 5 wickets down in the 35th over.

23.01.2022 A Grade head to Helena Valley for the big dance. A remarkable achievement for the first season together, a team of mates who've snuck into the 'final countdown' against the red hot Raiders! Best of luck boys, enjoy it!

23.01.2022 Did you knows from round 7!

22.01.2022 Round 7 this week, the final games of 2020 before the Christmas break!

22.01.2022 A Grade and Helena Valley played out a nail-biter at Bennett Park in Round 5 with The Raiders coming out winners by 1 wicket! The Sharks won the toss for the first time in 20/21, and decided to have a bat. The sharks openers and top order were put under real pressure from the Helena Valley bowling attack, featuring more ducks than Old McDonalds farm. The innings needed some valuable lower order runs from Kaschula and Yeomans to scrounge the total of 134. The Sharks came out... circling and bowled some serious lines and lengths to really test out the HV batting lineup. Regular wickets from a variety of bowlers made sure it was going to be close finish. Luke Bolger the pick of the bowlers with his 2-30. A 26 run final wicket stand for the raiders was enough to get the win away from home, and move them into top spot! A great match played in good spirits, with Scarborough left to wonder what could've been if we could've held a couple of crucial catches! See more

18.01.2022 The A Grade Sharks were outplayed by a very good Lesmurdie side, who took the points at Mazenod College Oval. After losing their 4th straight toss, The Sharks would be bowling first and got off to a great start, having Lesmurdie at 6/82 at one stage. Some fantastic middle order batting and a strong partnership from Lesmurdie ensured they reached a competitive 8/157 off 40 overs. Debutant Stuey Kaschula 3/27 and Wade McKay 2/21 were the pick of the shark bowlers. In reply, the sharks never really got going unfortunately due to great line and length bowling from Lesmurdie, with Luke Bolger the only batting highlight with 32. Back to the drawing board for the sharks as they look to bounce back in Rnd 6.

17.01.2022 Tommy Webster gets his name on the sharks bowling honours board with a magnificent spell of bowling in the A Grade match at Bennett Park on the weekend. Tom returned figures of 7/15 off 7.2 overs in his first shark match in 6 years. Tom was on a hat-trick twice and also chipped in with 40 with the stick. Well done to the 'Prince of Kingaroy'

17.01.2022 The Sharks were back in action this week and got off to a great start, 3 wins from 3 against some tough opposition! This round sponsored by the good people at Intellect Systems! Thanks for the support!

16.01.2022 ROUND 2 RESULTS

16.01.2022 Bullsbrook were way too good this time and inflicted a 95 run loss on the C Grade Sharks. The boys tried hard all day, but a few dropped catches and 31 wides gifted Bullsbrook 5/241 from their 40 overs. Pick of the bowlers were Mac-Barrow 2/29 and Joshua Dawson 2/35. The Sharks innings got off to the worst possible start 2/0 and there were only 3 innings of note. Grant ‘the Mountain’ Hutchons in his second Scarborough game made a swashbuckling 49 (and took the MOM), Joshua Dawson made 43 and Jonesy got 9* and combined with Hutch in a 39 run last wicket partnership. Honourable mention to Michael Waddington’s 14 runs comeback. Onwards and upwards boys.

15.01.2022 Mitchell Hogan hits the first century of the sharks 20/21 season with a magnificent 107 off 93 balls on the weekend! Despite A Grade narrowly losing to Coolbinia, Mitch batted beautifully to score his first 100 for the sharks in only his 4th game of the season. Well done 'Bug Fulla' - Toowoomba's own!

15.01.2022 Top 5 Batting aggregates after round 6!

14.01.2022 The Scarborough Sharks have just completed our most successful season for a number of years taking out the PSCA A Grade One Day Premiership which was the first Premiership for our Top side since the 1st Grade Premiership back in 2008/09. Lead by the returning statesman in Jack Joy and his best mate Matt Scales, Jack was able to assemble an all-star team of mates, that after a slow start, were able to fire at the business end of the season and take out the A Grade flag agains...Continue reading

14.01.2022 C Grade Match Report, By Steve Lockwood; The C Grade Sharks beat Mt Lawley by 90 runs in Round 7. I finally won a toss and we batted first. Haze (22) and Rory (26) put on a 42 run opening stand in 8.4 overs, Heath was a victim of a new pitch staying down LBW for a duck and we were 3/70 at the first drinks break. After drinks, Amish in his return game could only manage 6, new young Shark Ethan Pereira made 1 and Kaney made a weird 10 (reverse sweep, charging bolwers, etc!)... to have us a precarious 6/106 after 29 overs. Scotty Hine was batting well at the other end and was on 26*. Enter the Roger of old. He made 40* from 26 deliveries (3x4 & 2x6) and Hiney (66*) with 40* from around 35 balls, took us to a very competitive 6/187 at the close. Then Rory (5/13) , Rog (2/29) and some good fielding/catching had Mt Lawley reeling at 7/61 in the 21st over. Rory was twice on hat tricks and bowled beautifully. Sorbent Sheth took 2/19 from his 7 overs and our debutant Ethan (1/2) took the last wicket in the 35th over. Our catching was generally good this week (except off Jonesy!). Haze (who now has a catch of the season contender) and Ethan took 2 catches each. MOM was a very tough one this week. In a very tight field, I chose Scotty Hine because he batted through our innings from over 9 and set the platform for the win. Extremely Honourable mentions Rory and Rog.

14.01.2022 Season Highlights Batch 7

14.01.2022 As we move past round 5 for season 2020/21, we give you the first installment of the ‘top 5 batting performances’ so far for the season. Bowling performances to come through later tonight!

12.01.2022 3 wins from 3 games this week for the sharks in what proved to be a great weekend of cricket action!

11.01.2022 Round 2 Fixtures for the Sharks sides, looking to stay unbeaten in season 20/21.

11.01.2022 E Grade led by club favourite Crispy Gray this week, will travel out to Lesmurdie for this Round 6 Fixture. Luke Crosswell returns to the lineup, fired up and ready to make an impact, with a host of other players returning. This one promises to be a great one day game of cricket!

11.01.2022 C Grade Report by Steve 'Locky' Lockwood; Cricket is a funny game! lost the toss yet again and they batted and batted well, until a piece of Steve Aspinall brilliance direct hit runout, had them 1/84 after 13 overs (going at 6.5 an over). We only took 2 more wickets in their innings both to Steve Aspinall (8 overs, 1 maiden, 2/28) as they went to 3/227 from their 40 overs. Jonesy and Chris Kopec bowled good lines and went for 5 an over and 3 an over respectively, but th...e Canning Vale boys batted wel,l aided by a dropped catch here and there and a caught behind again not being given. Then it was our turn to bat. Heath with a torn quad made a very nice 17 before playing on (1/31). Dixie hurt his hammie and needed a runner (run out for 10, 2/41). Joel then hurt his hammie as well and needed a runner we didn’t have any dismissed batsmen that could run for him, so Chris Kopec went out there and did a fantastic job with Josh to take us to 3/123 in the 24th over when Josh was out for 41. Rog of old then played a little cameo of 15 (in a 37 run partnership with Joel) and we were 5/164 in the 32nd, we lost a few wickets with the only runs of note being 12 to Steve Aspinall - 8/193 with 4 overs to go. It was getting tight and Canning Vale didn’t look like getting through their overs in the allotted time. After the 38th over we were 8/206 and it was well after 6.20pm so the Umpire, as the By Laws require, applied a 12 run penalty, and we were 8/218 with 2 overs to go (needing 10 to win). Jonesy got bowled 5th ball of the 39th over when we were 9/210 (in reality 9/222) which meant our Number 11 Reubieliscous Kopec strode to the crease. He blocked a viscous inswinging yorker the first ball he faced and we needed 6 runs off the last over. Wide first ball 5 to win. It was all a bit of blur after that as we got the 5 runs with a couple of balls to spare. Joel stayed on when he should have come off & unfortunately he got out from the second last ball for a very well made 82. MOM Joel Norman. Honourable mentions to Steven Aspinall and Josh Dawson.

11.01.2022 E Grade Match Report from Deon Benade; E Grade travelled out to Bennett Springs for our game against Caversham. Our luck ended and lost our first toss for the year and we bowled first. Got off to a solid start and at drinks we had them at 63/5 (15 wides). Then we ran into a freakishly good batsmen who carted us all over the place, scoring 109 from 70. We assisted him nicely by bowling a heap more wides. We conceded 180 runs in the last 20 and Caversham ended up with 224/8.... We had a lot of work to do and got off to a good start putting up a 50 run opening stand in 9 overs. We lost our way in the middle a bit and we 86/3 at drink. Still game on. Some partnerships though the middle kept us in the chase. Hutch came in and hit a few big blows, we were chasing 40 of the last 5 overs. Our momentum run out and with a few key wickets our chase fell short by 18 runs. Lots of runs scored and a bid positives for 3rds as this was our highest team total for a very long time. In a day that was dominated by the bat the MOM goes to A Holmes for his bowling figures of 17/3 off his overs.

10.01.2022 A Grade will be hosting Mundaring this week at Bennett Park in what promises to be a cracking game. Tommy 'The Prince' Webster headlines the list of 'ins', whilst Joseph 'Pep' Bonasera and Fletcher 'Conrod' Tracy make their shark debuts! Go well boys! Thanks to this weeks sponsor of the round Sambo's lunch bar! Cheers for the support guys!

09.01.2022 Sharks A Grade got off to a great start at Light St Reserve on the opening round of season 2020/21. After losing the toss, Dianella Cricket Club looked to make a large total with Ridley and Bangash batting exceptionally well. The sharks bowled good lines after drinks to peg back the Dianella middle order, and to restrict the home side to finish 8/171 off their 40 overs. After a shaky start to the run chase, the sharks middle order rallied with J Joy and Spencer putting on an 148 run partnership to help get the first win over the line. Mitch Hogan then hit the winning runs to cap off a good win against a strong Dianella outfit in a match played in good spirits. Sharks proudly sponsored by Intellect Systems

09.01.2022 The Sharks suffered a thrilling loss at the hands of Coolbinia West-Perth on Saturday at Yokine Regional Space. After winning the toss and bowling, The Sharks fought hard to contain a rampant Coolies batting unit, with great lines and lengths from Yeomans, Bonasera & and a stunning one handed catch from Mitch Hogan. The visitors were given a chance of chasing down the large total, thanks to a fantastic display of swing bowling from Carlo Del Prete, claiming 5/44 off his 8 ove...rs. The Sharks would be chasing 227 for the victory. The chase would be a classic, with many twists and turns, Mitchell Hogan producing a knock of epic porportions (107 off 93 rocks), to almost singlehandedly will his side to victory. Unfortunately the Coolbinia spinners bogged down the shark middle order, which left the tail needing 7+ an over and it ended up being 3 runs too many. A great chase to get so close, but alas, the Sharks went back to Bennett Park empty handed.

09.01.2022 Result from yesterdays practice game Western Suburbs 9 for 148 off 35 overs (Dane Yeomans 3 for 7) Scarborough Sharks 5 for 149 off 25.2 overs (Jack Joy 50 retired not out, Luke Bolger 22)

08.01.2022 A Grade taking on Coolbinia-West Perth this week with a few familiar faces returning to the lineup. Hogan, Oates & Del Prete shake off the red dirt and pick up the cricket bag, whilst 'Mr Cricket' Matt Scales returns from a romantic getaway! Best of luck boys, finish off 2020 strong! Thanks to our friends General Public Food Co for the support this week!

08.01.2022 Did You Knows - Rd 1

07.01.2022 ROUND 3 Results! 3 Washouts this week for the 3 shark sides as Mother Nature ruined 3 decent games of cricket. All shark teams take the draws and move onto Round 4!

07.01.2022 Well done Tom Webster 5th best bowling figures in the country this week.

07.01.2022 Round 1 Result - C Grade C Grade won the toss against Carlisle and batted first at Missy Higgins Park. 1/12 became 2/77 in the 18th over thanks to Dixie 28 and Rossco who eventually went for a well made 37 at 3/82. Then Kaney (25) and new Shark Josh Dawson (42) put on 51 for the 4th wicket. We ended on 8/171 from our 40 overs.... Evergreen Matty McDermott 2/17 from 8 overs and evergreener Rog 3/4 from his 8 overs had Carlisle 5/23 after 16 overs and in a bit of trouble. We tried to get Rog a hat trick, but he decided to almost kill Dixie instead. Dixie fielding in close on a hat trick delivery got cleaned up big time just above the left eye. Dixie being Dixie he shook it off and went off bleeding from the nose for a few overs and then returned to spin a web of deceit and guile to return the figure of 8 overs, 2 maidens, 3/17. This ensured he picked up the first C Grade MOM for the season. A run out and a wicket to Sheep Dog Jones finished things off in the 36th over. Carlisle dismissed for 78. A 93 run win to the Sharks. Well done boys.

07.01.2022 Round 4 Results for the Sharks this weekend, sponsored by Dixie Joy Turf. Thanks for the support Rourkel!

06.01.2022 Sharks family 2 sides in the grand final on Saturday the 2nds are at Bennett Park the tops are at Helena valley. Post party at shark park until 8pm then the bowling club until stumps.

05.01.2022 The Sharks C Grade picked up a great victory against an experienced Glen Forrest team at Bennett Park. Locky lost the toss again and GF put the sharks in to bat. Through some fantastic batting by Scott Hine (53), Ross Fraser (24 rh - hamstring), M Waddington (30* - at around a run a ball) and S Waddington (9*) we managed to recover from 3/44 after the first 20 overs to post a very competitive 5/173. GF's left handed opener (Neves) was a very good bat and got them off to a g...ood start, 2/80 after 20 overs and he was about 60 of these. Rog was unlucky not to get a wicket from his 8 over spell (0/23). We had a good chat (thanks Haze and the boys) and changed tactics at the drinks break. We tried to contain the talented GF batters, with Matty Mc and Michael Waddington bowling beautifully. Rory then came back on and bowled Neves in the 31st over for 89 and we were able to take regular wickets to restrict Glen Forrest to 139. A great team bowling and fielding effort! Great work from a few of the lads who pushed through soreness and injury to ensure Scarborough took the points in a great one day game of cricket.

05.01.2022 Deon's men will look to bounce back this week at Woodlands vs Glen Forrest, as the Groth lads return to add some firepower with the ball. Club veteran Ross Terry also plays his first game for 20/21, buoyed by a spirited NSW performance in the state of origin! Thanks for the support RUNNING WITH THIEVES

05.01.2022 Deons lads travel to Dianella this weekend in which promises to be another good game of cricket. Important game with how the finals are shaping, good luck lads!

05.01.2022 The E Grade boys will be looking to back up a fantastic, nail-biting win last week as they travel to Missy Higgins Park to take on a spirited Carlisle outfit. A strong side selected this week, best of luck lads! Go Well!

04.01.2022 Season Highlights Batch 9

04.01.2022 Another milestone player in A Grades close loss to Coolbinia this week, Carlo Del Prete bowled a sensational spell of swing bowling to claim his first 5fa for the season. Carlo's spell of 5/44 off 8 overs tore through Coolbinia's batting order and gave the Sharks a chance in chasing down the total. Well bowled CDP!

04.01.2022 E Grade will be looking to put in a good performance this week in the skippers 50th game! The Spillman boys return to add some all-round class as the E Grade look to notch up win number #2 this summer! Best of luck Deon and the lads, go well!

03.01.2022 E Grade Match report, from Deon Benade; We were back in our winning ways with the toss and batted first. We made a slow but steady start and found ourselves 60/3 at drinks (20 overs) with a solid 25 from Craig Groth. Chris Murphy and Luke Crosswell picked up the pace after drinks and went on the offensive. Luke played an aggressive, quick-fire 51 off 44 balls before retiring for a breather. With Luke back in the hut, Murph took charge. What a display of batting. A mix of powe...r-hitting with deft touches, it was a thing of beauty to watch. Murph was undefeated at the innings change having amassed 89 off 102 balls. A Murph batting masterclass! A special mention for Cairan Spillman who hit the last ball of the innings for a mighty six over mid-wicket. The Sharks finished on 222/4. One of our highest totals in a long time (and we said that last week too). We were expecting an onslaught from Lesmurdie but some tight bowling and a series of dot balls from Anthony Holmes lead to a run-out and following the drop of another wicket (bowled Craig Groth), we were starting to get on top of LMCC. The Sharks were excellent in the field and we were able to slowly restrict the Lesmurdie batsmen out of the game. Anthony Holmes was unlucky not to get a couple of wickets and ended on a miserly 0/12 off his 8 overs. Grant Hutchons ripped through the Lesmurdie middle-order. Grant bowled with accuracy, pace (and signature grunting) to bag himself 3/22. Grant was unlucky not get more wickets (had we held all our catches). Craig Groth returned 1/19 with the ball and Keith Middleton snagged the other wicket with figures of 1/41. Lesmurdie ended up with 156/6. A big win for the Sharks and it looks like we now have our extras under control. The vibe in the team is great and everyone enjoyed a fun outing. Winners are grinners. In a day that was dominated by the bat, the MOM goes to Chris Murphy for his 89 not out

03.01.2022 Shark Cricket returns to Bennett Park for 2021 as A Grade take on Dianella this Saturday. 'Conrod' Tracy, 'Iceman' Kaschula & 'Club Bay View' Cubbage highlight the inclusions. Best of luck boys! Thanks for the support General Public Food Co

03.01.2022 A Grade sharks return to Bennett against Helena Valley this week with a swag of players returning to the lineup. Fraser Oates is back after snapping a thumb in Round 1, 'The Pride of Toowoomba' Mitch Hogan also returns, with skipper Joy, C.D.P and 'Club Bay View's finest' James Cubbage also amongst the sharks to come back into the lineup this week. Best of luck boys! Thanks for the support this round DASPerth and the Colonel!

03.01.2022 E Grade Played Carlisle this week at Higgins Park. We won the Toss and batted first. Our batting was a scratchy affair, Carlisle bowled well and didn’t give much away. 51/3 just before drinks became 71/6 in a batting collapse that look the stuffing out of us. Thanks goodness for some great running between the wickets in the 10th wicket partnership that got us up to 92. Defending 92 a lot needs to go right for the bowling unit and you would need to have a bit of luck along the way. Neither of these two things happened and the Carlisle openers played really well and never gave us a stiff. Xander van Der Westhuizen managed to grab his first wicket for the club and saved us from a 10 wicket loss. A hard loss to take from a very one-sided game, but we take it on the chin and move onto our next challenge.

03.01.2022 Top 5 Bowling Performances of the season; No surprise that ‘The Prince’ Tom Webster stands a top the list with a stunning 7fa in round 2! Well done all bowlers!

03.01.2022 The mighty E Grade took on the Pilbara Lions down at Woodlands over the weekend. E’s won the toss (again) and decided to have a bat. They were in trouble after the first ball when Deon decided to waltz down the wicket on ball one and chipped it to mid-wicket 0/1. The Lions team bowled and fielded really well and strangled Deons men and just couldn't get going. A steady flow of wickets with not a lot of runs had the Sharks 29/4 after 14 overs. P Spillman and Young started the... rebuild and got us up to 51/5 after 23 Overs. Young and C Groth really played extremely well and took advantage of the change bowlers, putting up a 66 run partnership and in the process Young passed 50 for his first 50 in his first official game for the season. A few more quick runs at the back saw us up to 145 in 39.5over. A unbelievable come back and the Sharks dared to dream! The Lions came out firing and got off to a fantastic start. They played their shots from ball one. They raced along to 61/2 after 10 over. Middleton picked up both swashbuckling batsmen (One catch from Grothy would’ve made any AFL highlights reel) and C Grade were back in it. A very good period saw the lions go from 62/2 to 77/7. And in that process P Spillman took the catch of the season (Early call, but it’ll take some beating) From there the Lions players decided that they will play sensible cricket and they did. The Whole game tightened up and it was squeaky bum time. Hutchons bowled really tight and it was 24 runs of 24 balls with one wicket remaining. We held our nerve and Ethan Groth hung on to a highball to with the game of Hutchons bowling. The coolest kid on earth. Great game played in an unbelievable spirit, good opposition and a good ump. There was a few Standout performances, but man of the Match must go to Trev Young for a critical 50 on debut.

02.01.2022 C Grade Skipper and all round great bloke, Deon Benade will play his 50th game this weekend for the mighty sharks. Deon, a quality opening batsman in the mould of legendary South African skipper Graeme Smith, will be looking to notch up a decent score this weekend as his lads do battle against the Pilbara Lions. 01.01.2022 "Meet the Sharkies" He's not the Messiah he's a very naughty boy..

01.01.2022 Sharks E grade won the toss at Bennett park and batted first. Batting was a nervy affair and took a critical partnership from Crosswell and Hutchons and some key runs from Reese holmes at the end to push us up to the 109 mark. Our bowling unit stepped up and took control. A Holmes and Richardson restricted them to 31/3 after 16 overs and the squeeze was on. K Middleton grabbed some key wickets. Things got tight with a good partnership that involved the Dianella Skipper. We he...ld our nerve, and K Middleton finished things off for us. The Bowling unit was magnificent. Congrats Luke Crosswell for best on ground on debut!
