22.01.2022 SUMMER DAHLIAS ! You might have caught a peek of my new dress on stories the other night, well here's a better look! The Summer Dahlias dress from @skye_st._studio will be part of my last Ready to Wear range this year. It's based on a Lorikeet dress with a tiered skirt. It's got a slimmer fitting skirt than my normal Lorikeet, but definitely not tight or fitted, it's still quite flowy. I'll be doing an igtv on it early next week and going through all the things. B...ut the best news is I've bit the bullet and made my usual sizes 6-24. So no stress with fit this time, they fit like my usual dresses! Only, there's only a few in each size, I'm so sorry in advance, as I have a feeling sizes will sell fast. But... 22.01.2022 T R U T H ! While I'm staring at a week's worth of sewing, I've realised I kinda neglected getting on stories. You might not believe I'm actually an introvert, ISFJ to be exact! I do love chatting on stories, but I'm not always feeling it. In a perfect world I'd be my happy chatty self everyday, but let's face it, I'm human. Even if I was medicated that wouldn't be realistic! As a customer I don't enjoy watching stressed people, I end up feeling sorry for them, a...nd guilty for purchasing anything, or stressed myself! 20.01.2022 M Y V I E W ! I don't get in here as often as I did, but I love every minute when I do! I guess the whole point of growing my biz was not to be chained to a sewing machine, but part of me misses my favourite room in the house. One thing I was once told, was that as much as I think I'll spend my days designing clothes and choosing fabrics, I'll actually be sitting in front of emails and spreadsheets. 17.01.2022 B R R R ! I've been pulling out my Falcon jacket more than I ever have before! True story, I kinda run warm and I rarely need a jacket. We've been going out for more day trips lately, and it's been cold, so out comes the Falcon! I don't think I ever truely appreciated my most popular item, but now I really do get it! 05.01.2022 F A M I L Y ! Yep, that's my mum! My very first fan, my sounding board and the fashionista I learnt everything from! She's probably more obsessed with fashion than me if that's possible! Even though we have different styles, she's always found pieces to wear and style up in her own way. She's got a lot of t-shirts and jumpers from me, and wears them daily! Fashion has always been a part of my life, you could say I was born into it. My nonna was also a seamstress,... I now have all her Italian books and tools from her training, and cherish them as a part of my history.
