13.01.2022 Season has started with a bang -- two under 9's Magpies and the Tigers --- both teams played on Saturday morning with mixed results. Firstly the Tigers: Stan on a hat-trick and Morgan and Finn crafting a partnership of 34 runs, including the 50% bonus for remaining not out, were just some of the highlights of Saturdays game against Collaroy. These and other performances were quite enough to win though. Collaroy scored 3 for 112 from their 20 overs for an average of 37.6 com...pared with Seaforths 7 for 90, an average of 12.9. Now the Magpies : Seaforth Magpies scored 130 for no wicket, while Beacon Hill scored 87/4, so congratulations to the Magpies for a winning start to the season. Man of the match was Will S for taking three wickets including a splendid caught-and-bowled. Well done Will. Sam D took the other wicket, and Eliot hit a couple of smashing boundaries. All round we were good in the field though there were a few dropped catches, so well have to work on that at training.
