25.01.2022 Praised for her finely executed and warm portrayal of Australian suburbia, the Class of 2012's Eliza Gosse's latest exhibition, Cabin Fever, at Liverpool Street Gallery, is a must see. Not only does she share her fascination with mid-century architecture but her depiction of her own apartment's interior reflects the increasing role our home plays in our life now. A wonderful exhibition!

25.01.2022 While many SCEGGS Old Girls have forged successful acting careers in recent times, so too did the Smith sisters in the 1930s. In fact, Nancy Smith (1925), known as Nancy O'Neil, was one of the few young Australian women who built a reputable stage and film career in the UK. https://forgottenaustralianactresses.com//nancy-oneil/amp/

24.01.2022 Congratulations to the Class of 2015's Eleanor Armstrong on your most recent award. We are so proud and look forward to welcoming you back to school some day soon to share your experiences. Well done and good luck in your new role with the Boston Consulting Group.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to Old Girl, Anna Dowsley. Amazing!

23.01.2022 It's amazing what you find in the Archives.... Archivist Prue Heath recently uncovered an entertaining note from the 60s written by a past student on why she gave to her school. The sentiments are just as relevant today. To step back in time and read the note..... https://www.thebuzz.net.au/sceggs/article/light-her-path-3/

23.01.2022 A few photos from our wonderful gathering in Bowral last Saturday. Our thanks to Berida Hotel and Bistro Sociale for a fabulous afternoon together!

21.01.2022 What a wonderful day we had yesterday. Ascension Day 2021 - more photos to follow soon!

20.01.2022 Our thanks to the Class of 1999’s Arabella Macpherson, a communications coach, who not only showed us how to engage an audience but provided Years 9 & 10 girls at this morning’s Father & Daughter Breakfast with some valuable advice on dealing with life’s challenges. Her honesty was refreshing - thank you! Resonate Communications https://resonatecomms.com/

19.01.2022 Last Thursday, we welcomed back over 100 Old Girls for what was a wonderful celebration of life, hope and friendship. Some celebrated 50, 60 and 70 year reunions, while others like the Class of 1939's Lois McEvoy and Pat Royle simply enjoyed seeing old friends again. Thank you to all for helping make it such a special day!

19.01.2022 This week, and all weeks, we acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the country on which our school stands. We honour Gadigal people’s continued connection to land, sea, and culture and pay respect to the resilience and strength of all First Nations People. #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek

17.01.2022 Inspired by archival photos and a family history deeply involved in Aboriginal culture, Thea Anamara Perkins (2009) is an artist attracting increasing national attention. So pleased for you Thea!

10.01.2022 With another term over, we bring you another issue of the OGU e-news. We hope it finds you well. Happy school holidays!

09.01.2022 2020 forced us all to find new ways of doing things and one of the great outcomes at SCEGGS was Rev Gary Lee-Lindsay’s podcast, Walk the Mile. Taking its name from a Chapel favourite Brother, Sister, let me serve you, the regular podcast continues to be popular amongst students and parents alike. As Old Girls, you too can now share in the conversations by visiting https://www.sceggs.nsw.edu.au/community/sceggs-podcast/

09.01.2022 2020 - what a year! It's been a tough one for many. If you are keen to see what the girls have been up to and are interested to know what they think, don't miss THAT COVID SHOW! Here's a teaser for now. A link to the show will be available in your next OGU e-news, out in early December. https://vimeo.com/481081601/af84775b74

08.01.2022 After more than 60 years of regular reunions, the Class of 1957 returned to school on Saturday to mark their 80th Birthday. Cancelled last year, it was wonderful to see them finally come together to celebrate their lifelong friendship!

06.01.2022 REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR SAY! We hope you’ll find some time over the weekend to complete our survey and help us better meet the needs of Old Girls like you! To share your ideas, check your emails for the survey link. https://vimeo.com/483761265

05.01.2022 Last Saturday saw the first of our "double reunions" and we couldn't be more happy. Perfect weather and the loveliest of ladies made for a joyous day. Thank you to the Classes of 1960 and 1961 - you were great company! And our love to those in lockdown in Victoria who couldn't be with us - you were missed. Looks like a 65 Year Reunion may be added to the alumni calendar!!!

04.01.2022 Wishing this wonderful group of young women the very best today as the HSC begins. Take a deep breath! You've got this! Good luck!
