24.01.2022 Consistent with the past 22 years, Encounter Youth continues to support South Australian school leavers in celebrating their end of schooling in the safest possible way. Like any other year, Encounter Youth does not encourage school leavers to celebrate. However, if they chose to do so, we will provide support to them. We continue to work with the South Australian Government in responding to and providing support across the state this weekend. We are in daily contact with the... South Australian emergency services in planning and preparation for the response this year. The South Australian Government has given direct advice on the current Covid-19 restrictions specifically relating to schoolies travel. 18.01.2022 In response to today’s announcement made by South Australia Police regarding the upcoming restrictions and the 6-day pause for South Australia, we want to be clear that any travel plans made for schoolies this weekend cannot proceed. Our thoughts are with the Class of 2020 who have had to endure so much change already this year and will not be able to celebrate with their fellow year 12s.
