09.01.2022 After nearly 90 years in business, Otto’s Timber, Joinery & Hardware at Stepney has closed down today, 16th December 2020. Ken Otto, the grandson of the founder George Bernard Otto, and the son of Max Otto who ran the business for 50 years, has successfully managed the business along with his wife Anne, for over 30 years. Our firm has enjoyed the part we have played in the business of Otto & Co and we wish Ken and Anne and their family continued success for the future.

05.01.2022 WARNING!!! BEWARE OF TAX RELATED SCAMS We have received notice today that there is a new wave of phone scams doing the rounds. Scammers are using a new technique where they call the taxpayer and will ask the name of their accountant/tax agent. Once provided, they will initiate a 3-way phone call with a person pretending to be from our office and try to convince you to pay an amount to the ATO immediately via unusual methods.... If you receive a suspicious call - DO NOT make any payments or provide any personal details. We request that you hang up and please call our office direct line immediately on (08) 8179 1111 to speak to one of our staff members. We will be able to confirm if you have any outstanding tax obligations and provide safe measures to make that payment, or if the phone call is a scam. Please pass onto family and friends....
