24.01.2022 People are quick to run to their Doctors and get medication instead of utilising exercise. And I'm not talking about a 30 minute walk or "run". In a massive shake up here in Australia, the Australian Medical Association (the governing body for the medical industry) are re-training General Practitioners to prescribe exercise instead of medication (in minor cases). I don't know the full details but the AMA need to take this further to include Psychologists & Psychiatrists and h...ave them refer patients to a Exercise Physiologist &/or Personal Trainer (provide further training for PT's if required). A proper exercise regime can help combat a lot of psychological conditions to avoid medication, which has a lot of side effects. As most people know, intense exercise release endorphins, which are the "feel-good" chemicals our body releases. #psychology #depression #exercise #mood #fitness #mentalhealth #workout #nutrition #health #healthy #gym #gymlife #weightloss #fatloss #weighttraining #bodybuilding #motivation #inspire #help #smile #happy #love #cleaneating #instafit #melbourne #sydney #brisbane #australia See more

Nothing energises me more than some upbeat music. #music #scooter #bodybuilding #workout #workoutmotivation #smile #winter #melbourne #australia #gym #instafit #strengthtraining #lift #weighttraining #weightlossjourney #nutrition #dance #inspire #transformation

21.01.2022 Real talk by a Neuroscientist. A definite must watch, especially for those with family history of Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

21.01.2022 Today's pre-workout stack. Drop Factor & Vasky by @mtsnutrition, Acetyl L-Carnitine by @atpscience and Creatine Monohydrate by @bulknutrients. Going through a fat loss phase at the moment (well, continuing) and with summer around the corner, who wouldn't want some shreds #bodybuilding #musclebuilding #fatloss #smile #spring #transformation #gymmotivation #bodybuildingmotivation #instafitness #fit #fitness #fitfam #instagram #gymlife #trainhard #nutrition #gym #instafit #sixpack #gymlife #fitnessmotivation #melbourne #australia #muscle #cleaneating #weightloss #fatloss #inspire #happy #fun #transformation #fit #mensphysique #shredded

19.01.2022 Exercise and fitness isn't just about dropping your body fat percentage and building muscle. There has been numerous studies that show exercising is good for your mental health as well. https://coach.nine.com.au//physical-fitness-cognitive-decl

17.01.2022 Stretching is vital after exercise and this stretch is no different. Definitely worth doing.

15.01.2022 Great read from a female who's been there instead of a "typical male" who "doesn't know what he's talking about" or "doesn't understand". #Repost @aimeelouisestcfit (@get_repost) I used to want to be 46kg so badly.... Why that number? Well, I was talking to a girl at a party once who was my height and she told me she weighed 46kg. Yeah, I know. That’s a completely and utterly ridiculous reason. But I just want to share my thought process... Because maybe the number you have in your head is quite frankly just as ridiculous? Is it a weight you were before you hit puberty? Before you started lifting weights? Is it the weight of your favourite celebrity? Have you been that weight before and it actually sucked? Fast forward like 5 years from my conversation with that girl and very ironically I DID actually get to 46kg when I got on stage. If you’ve read any of my content about that time in my life before, you’ll know it was not a fun time for me. I am not a great human at 46kg. I cannot function like a boss lady at that weight Anyway. getting to that weight was honestly what got me the fuck over wanting to be that weight, because it didn’t feel how I thought it would. I NEVER want to be that weight again. I hope to goodness this post can save at least one person the bullshit I went through to get to a stupid number that did not serve me. The message Let go of aiming for a scale weight that does not serve you and instead aim for a life full of behaviours that do #bodybuilding #fatloss #smile #summer #transformation #gymmotivation #instafitness #fit #fitness #fitfam #instagram #gymlife #trainhard #nutrition #instagood #gym #instafit #newpost #aesthetics #fitnessmotivation #melbourne #australia #muscle #cleaneating #weightloss #inspire #happy #fun See more

13.01.2022 It astounds me that even now, with all the research that's out there, people still thinking that cutting carbs out of their diet will help them lose weight there's more to "losing weight" which, as I've said before, is not the way to do things. FAT LOSS is what you want to achieve because during weight loss, you lose muscle density before you lose fat. This is known as skinny fat, which means you have a slim figure but a high body fat percentage. This leads to things suc...h as osteoporosis, fatigue, brain fog & so on. What you want to do is reduce body fat through caloric deficit (no more than 10% less than your daily energy intake) with a higher protein intake to maintain as much muscle mass as possible then go into building muscle. The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will be. And no ladies, you won't get "bulky" like a man. So educate yourselves, get a good PT/Coach and make the change for the better. Your future self will thank you for it See more

13.01.2022 Unfortunately, this is reality and let's be honest, for the most part they are all excuses to not make the hard choices & sacrifices. I've heard people say, "we will die one day" and my response is, "that may be true but why wouldn't you do everything you can to live a longer life & reduce the risk of poor health? Why would you put yourself through the stress of expensive medical bills from poor choices? Why put your family through the stress of worrying about you? Or put the...m through the financial stresses as well if it could have been avoided or the condition reduced through healthy eating & exercises?" I've been overweight before, I get it! My wake up call was finding out I had high cholesterol & would be placed on medication if I didn't do what was required to reduce it. Now, being placed on medication wasn't what scared me. Having a heart attack & potential open heart surgery did after my father had his heart attack in his late 30's and then found out he had five blockages. This was my why. My why to make the changes & sacrifices to get fit, healthy and continue getting better. Not to become a pro athlete but because I didn't want to go through that nor did I want to put my family & friends through the stress and heart ache. I didn't want to be selfish in that regard. So find your why! #bodybuilding #fatloss #smile #summer #transformation #gymmotivation #instafitness #fit #fitness #fitfam #instagram #gymlife #trainhard #nutrition #instagood #gym #instafit #fitnessmotivation #melbourne #australia #muscle #cleaneating #weightloss #inspire #happy #fun #motivation #inspire #love #sydney

12.01.2022 Have you bought your children VitaGummies? The supplements are marketed towards child fussy eaters, but Monash University microbiologist Dr Ken Harvey tells reporter Liz Hayes they’re loaded with sugar and do more harm than good. Full story: bit.ly/2MX896k #60MinSummer

12.01.2022 Finally got to have lunch at @pinkieivanhoe and they did not disappoint. I eat fairly healthy most days but it's always good to indulge is something a little bad. It's always good to remember to eat these types of food in moderation. #foodporn #food #foodie #pinkieivanhoe #cafe #smile #gains #instagood #winter #burger #gym #work #workout #fitness #cheatmeal #cheatday #fitfam #melbourne #australia

03.01.2022 #transformationtuesday Pic on the left was taken in 2017 and I hovered like this for 2 years. I was hitting the gym five days a week but my nutrition was shit. Despite making every effort to eat right, I was always in surplus. Pic on the right was taken about a month ago. Still hitting the gym five days per week but my nutrition was much better and cleaner. #fatloss #fitness #gym #bodytransformation #nutrition #cleaneating #healthy #healthyfood #exercise #motivation #inspire #love #smile #happy #newpost #weighttraining #weightloss #cardio #australia

01.01.2022 People living with a mental illness die much earlier than the rest of the population, mostly due to preventable cardiovascular disease. Physical inactivity accounts for approximately 9% of premature mortality worldwide, and people living with mental illness are much less likely to be physically active. As fitness professionals, we play a hugely important role in changing the lives of Australians. I'm dedicated in continuing to make those positive lifestyle changes for all.... https://www.ausleisure.com.au//research-shows-that-physi/
