24.01.2022 You never know what might be achieved unless you ask the right questions! On Monday this week we were engaged by a lovely 82 year old lady now moved up to the Sunshine Coast from Tasmania, to find her a suitable new home. We had a long chat with her and her visiting sister, and it was decided that the best option for her would be an apartment in a retirement village. So that became the brief.... Like all property at the moment, retirement properties are as rare as hens teeth. After connecting with every retirement village in Noosa/Tewantin and surrounds, there was just one potential apartment. However, there was small hitch. It was still in the cooling off period for a couple down south and the only new apartment available until August 2022 The retirement village confirmed that the current buyers were NOT going to proceed and withdrew their hold on the apartment. On Wednesday we went to view the apartment (some of the pictures are from the show apartment). We have secured this beautiful apartment just completed in a location of choice and we had the pleasure of assisting our client yesterday to choose her blinds and curtains and she will be residing there by the end of the month This is our first retirement village purchase and learnt so much in 24 hours on the legal structure of this type of property. From engagement to viewing and deciding this was an opportunity not to miss, was less than 48 hours! We will be supporting her during the next couple of weeks to get all she needs to make this her forever home. 10.01.2022 Over the Christmas and New Year period we were privileged to have 5 new clients sign up for our services and a 6th today! We have 2 settlements this week One is a local resident and her little fur baby Finn, who has bought a brand new luxury apartment in Maroochydore now that she is an empty nester and renting out her current house.... & First time investors from NSW thinking they couldn't buy a property within their budget and we got them a duplex in Caboolture with tenants until August 2021! Both were negotiated within 7 days of signing up for our full service of sourcing viewing and negotiating on their behalf. Simon & I feel very humble that total strangers put their trust in us to buy the best property, within desired location and budget and not overpaying in the current hot property market. 06.01.2022 What a year! This one will certainly be recorded in history. As we all look back on 2020, no one could have anticipated what a year it was going to be with global uncertainty. There have been such tragic stories through out the world, loss of life through Covid, mental health issues and sadly this has lead to people taking their lives. ... For so many families there will be a seat empty at the Christmas table. We have always set a spare place around our table to reflect and remember those who are no longer with us. There are always lessons to be learned, and this unique year has given us the unexpected opportunity to have short periods of downtime to reassess what is important to us as human beings as well as business owners. There is nothing like uncertainty to keep the "out of the box" juices flowing. As a boutique Buyer's Agency, our relationship with our clients has meant that we have been blessed with wonderful clients and we have bought some amazing properties for first time investors, interstate buyers, locals wanting to upsize and others downsizing and others just waiting until January to start their property journey with us.
