Memberships open soon. Please join us! Follow us @flowerindustryaustralia

17.01.2022 EMBRACE I am a hugger. I love to hug, to wrap my arms around those I love. Embrace has many definitions but I love thinking of it as being held. So it’s a word that came to mind for my new pendants: flowers from Scout’s Garden held forever in time. And a way for you to gift a warm embrace to yourself, a friend or loved one. They will be available to purchase soon from my new website, which I will be launching in the next few weeks! Pictured here on the top line is wattle o...n green & Queen Anne’s lace on black, and the second row is yarrow on grey, Queen Anne’s lace on blue and forget me not on white. Which is your favourite so far? Do you prefer the silver bezel or the wood? #growconnectcreate #conciouscreativity #pressedflowers #resinart #handmade #floraljewellery #flowerindustryaustralia #farmerflorist #flowerfarmerflorist #beechworthflowers #beechworth See more

16.01.2022 Wednesday @thistleandfernflowers is proving to be a very popular flower giving day! Native vases were a big hit today: here’s one I rustled up, love this colour combo

14.01.2022 Help make flowers CoOL Currently we import thousands of cut flowers into Australia, to the detriment of our local flower growers. Australia has an amazing and vibrant flower industry. You should have the choice to be able to purchase roses from Tasmania, or imported roses from Kenya. Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) allows you to choose to support Australian farmers by requesting Australian grown flowers when you purchase. If you can choose Australian grown fruit, you should be able to also choose Australian grown flowers. Help make this happen! Sign the petition! Be a CoOL supporter

14.01.2022 Morning delivery to @beechworthfloral for the week ahead

14.01.2022 In addition to my upcoming Christmas wreath workshop on December 13, I am also partnering in a very special event the weekend prior for mother’s and daughters. Interested? Then read on..... Do you have a daughter on the verge of puberty, or heading straight into it's depths and feeling that yearning to generate and nurture your connection to her? Maybe Covid restrictions created strain on your relationships and you now want to create more joy, playfulness and conne...ction. Then, join us for 2 hours of just that! I am partnering with Dannielle Bell from Wholehearted Inc in this lovely event for Mothers and Daughters (aged between 9-15). We are inviting you to participate in a nurturing workshop, to work with the beauty and wonder of nature to weave and create flower crowns. Through the process we will also participate in a meditation and simple ritual to honour the wisdom, power and support that can be shared between mother and daughter and cultivate the sacred passage of our daughters into womanhood. We feel there is no better way to nurture this connection than being creative with nature. I will bring bunches of beautiful botanicals to facilitate flower crown making and Dannielle will facilitate a meditation, ceremony and ritual. We will also provide hot chocolate, tea and cake. There are 3 workshop offerings 9:00am -11am -(daughters aged 8-12) 12:00-2:00pm - (daughters aged 8-12) 3:00-5:00pm - (daughters aged 12-15) Cost is $60 (includes both Mother and Daughter) Spaces will be limited due to Covid restrictions. Please search for ‘Wholehearted crowns and connections’ on Facebook, and book your spot!

14.01.2022 SPRING ! At last! Life is beginning to unfold again in the garden: the old and new peonies are waking up from their slumber, the daffodils are beginning to flower, there are seeds being raised, seedlings powering along under the tunnels, the wicking beds are made, my garden shed is up, the sweet peas are climbing up the new trellis, there are seedlings in the hoop house, and the guinea fowl are released from their temporary pen and loving patrolling the grounds! #farmerflorist #beechworth #grownnotflown #flowerfarmer #peonyfarm #peonies #northeastpeonies #safetosniff #floralrevolution #locallygrownflowers

12.01.2022 Dannielle at Wholehearted Inc said it all so eloquently so I’m sharing her post here. We can’t wait to bring this event to you..... We have been waiting, like the rest of Regional Vic, to see what the roadmap to recovery looks like for us.. we were SO hoping we could have gone ahead with this event- thank you for all the interest, it has been amazing- but with so much uncertainty we have decided to postpone it until we are closer to a covid normal.. we will let you know as ...soon as we have another date! If you have already booked your tickets, and would like a refund please let us know, otherwise we hope you can join us later in the year. In the meantime, go gently with yourself and your daughter as she begins this journey into womanhood.. for many of you, tensions have built inside this pressure cooker of covid.. we hope you can find some creative ways to spend time together in your own space, and look forward to creating and connecting with you soon. Much love Dan and Issy xx x

12.01.2022 Buckets of blooms headed off to @thistleandfernflowers this morning. Those hydies!!! If you’re in Wodonga tomorrow call past the container to grab a bunch. The Queen Anne’s Lace is a bit of a show stopper too, and will also be there!

10.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE! I am so pleased to announce that my Christmas wreath workshop for 2020 will take place on Sunday Dec 13th, here in my little garage studio at Scout’s Garden! Please mark the date in your diary and as soon as my website is live, you can book in for a place at the table (or apple bins actually!). I am thinking a 3 -5pm time slot, but do get in touch if earlier or later would suit you and your friends better as I could potentially offer 2 sessions if the demand is there! #christmaswreath #consciouscreativity #growconnectcreate #workshop #beechworthflowerfarm

06.01.2022 CoOL FLOWERS I don’t know about you, but if I can choose to buy Australian grown produce like fruit or nuts, I reckon I should also be able to choose to buy Australian grown flowers. Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) on flowers will enable you and your local florist to make that choice: to support Australian flower growers or support the importers bringing cheap, pest ridden, chemical drenched flowers from Kenya, Ecuador, Malaysia, China... Please support your Australian flower growers! Please sign the petition on change.org (link in bio) to make CoOL flowers a reality. Be a CoOL consumer and join the floral revolution https://www.change.org/p/department-of-industry-science-and

03.01.2022 CREATING This inclement weather has provided a great opportunity to get on with some ‘making’ indoors! My first batch of Scout’s Garden soap seems to have been a success: I have to leave it to cure for a little while longer but I’m looking forward to making some more batches and being able to offer it for sale soon. The one pictured is scented with wildflower and honey, and topped with poppy petals I’ve also been able to do some resin work at last, in the form of neckla...ces, mini gardenscapes and paperweights. I have fingers and toes crossed that these all work out well as they will be a lovely addition to my offerings here at Scout’s Garden. They are incredibly fiddly but also very therapeutic to make! After a morning of being creative, it’s now time to put on my wet weather gear and get into the hoop house to repot some seedlings and get some new seeds planted. Hope you are all staying cosy wherever you are! 02.01.2022 GRATITUDE Yesterday was a bit special. I got to put together my first bouquet in my studio space There are still a few things to do before I invite you in for a look, but it felt so good creating something in my own space It was also special because the flowers were for someone who had recently lost someone dear to them, and the lovely person who bought the flowers chose to take a 100km car trip just to buy them from me I am so grateful that people enjoy what I’m doing and support me to keep on doing it! #farmerflorist #ecoflorist #flowerstudio #beechworthflowers #growconnectcreate #locallygrown #discoverbeechworth

02.01.2022 THANK YOU yippee! 1000 followers on Instagram. This feels like a big achievement for a wee flower farmer and eco florist. Thank you all for following along on this journey and to @poppysgettingmarried for pushing me into 4 digits! #grownnotflown #beechworth #beechworthflowers #slowflowers #floralrevolution #ecoflorist #beefriendlyflowers #farmerflorist #conciousflowers
