If you are able to, our President, Andrew can meet people at the clubhouse tomorrow (Sunday) at 4pm to complete a form. Please text Andrew on 0418 788 366 if you will be able to be there tomorrow.

17.01.2022 What a huge weekend of footy we had at Home in Round 3! Friday night footy returned with U12s, Saturday saw the first of 6 home games with the Crocs Cricket C...lub oval hosting the U15 girls and Div 2. I don’t think I’ve seen that many people there since the late ‘90s at our old home oval. Thanks to Southern Districts Cricket Club sharing their facilities to allow us to host all our Senior teams on one day for our Home Games. Norbuilt Oval was a full draw card from U18boys, Women’s Premier League, Div 1 and then the Men’s Premier League Games. The new Timekeepers and Umpires Room had its first test. The new change rooms will be ready to use very soon as we finish the finer comforts before use. The Canteen extensions were awesome to allow more helpers assist with feeding the hungry folk especially when the rain came, it’s always pie time to watch the footy. Thank you to our Committee and all our volunteers and helpers across both ovals in various roles to make sure we could get all the teams on the field and helping at the club house to cater for our home game. Thanks always to our volunteers helping around the club throughout the week and over the weekend, which can get you into the volunteers members draw every Thursday. We really appreciate and need your help to keep our home games going all weekend so we can enjoy bringing you the footy we love. The Country and Western night was a good shindig for the seniors and we hope to have a few more functions throughout the season. Lastly, many thanks to all our sponsors that have committed to this season with our teams and club sponsorship. With a few team byes this week, We’ll be ready to do it again in a fortnight and look forward to seeing you around Norbuilt Oval on 31 October! 16.01.2022 What a DDCC season it has been! The 2020 season kicked off the 'Summer of Cricket' in Australia and didn't we take advantage of being able to get out onto the p...itch. 541 games were played over 16 weekends, 11,769 hours of live streamed matches were viewed, 135,984 visits to the dedicated DDCC Match Centre, over 1,500 registered players bowled, batted, ran and took catches throughout the season smacking a whopping 690 6's with 20 players made over 100 runs! Check out some of the best bits here thanks to our DDCC photographers Aaron Black (Little Big City Media), Felicity Elliott and Roz Lavercombe and to FrogBox and InteractSport for the great vision. 07.01.2022 The 2020 cricket season has sadly come to an end. It was definitely an unusual and unprecedented one at that! But luckily, we were able to continue the season and hold our all-important social functions. Our Junior and Senior Presentation nights were a huge success and well attended by players and families. Congratulations to all award recipients and thank you to all players, coaches and volunteers for your time and effort this year. Special congratulations to our junior co...ach Tory St Clair for being awarded our clubs Junior Club-person of the Year for his contribution and dedication to our junior players and club not only this season but over the past years. This is in addition to being awarded the equivalent for the Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition. 2020 Senior Club-person of the Year was deservedly awarded to Heidi Mylius. What would we do without her? Heidi works tirelessly week in, week out around the club and has supported and dedicated her time to the club not only this season but over the many years that Heidi has been associated with our club. Other major awards were: JEFF RADCLIFFE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD - Dean Fry JOCK BREMNER FIELDING AWARD - Dean Fry SENIOR CLUB CHAMPION - Dean Fry Warren Bardsley Memorial Trophy for JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPION - Blayke Pepper PIENING UNDER 17 - Samuel Barker If you have any photos of either of the nights that you would like to share, please get in touch with us and we’ll send you a link to our SDCC Dropbox. The 2020 committee would like to thank each and every one of you for your patience, understanding and adaptability throughout this season. Planning is already underway for the 2021 season and will get into full swing after our AGM, which is scheduled for Sunday 22 November 2020. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of reminders as the time draws near! If you or anyone you know would be interested in joining the committee, please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to the AGM.
07.01.2022 The AGM is fast approaching it’s THIS Sunday, the 22nd. In the last few years, we have had a very strong committee and it looks like that will be the case again this year but there is always room for fresh ideas. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact us for a nomination form. Not too sure about being on the main committee? We are looking for enthusiastic people to forming sub-committees to help oversee and organise some of the important aspects of running the club. If that’s not your thing, please come along anyway as we need a quorum to conduct the meeting. Still need convincing to come along? There will be a BBQ on the day and drinks will be available. If you are unable to attend, it would be appreciated if you could RSVP your apology prior to the day.
