22.01.2022 CONSUMER WARNING PLEASE SHARE In July this year the regulator (CBOS) introduced a Restricted Roofing Endorsement (RRE) to appease a small group of whinging bu...ilders who maintained that due to their isolated geographic location they were unable to get a qualified roofer and that was holding up their building works. Suffice to say this has turned out to be untrue. Our overarching concern is that builders are being deemed eligible to hold a Restricted Roofing Endorsement without any qualification all they have to do is ‘self-certify’ that they are ‘competent’. We are not saying that builders are incompetent we are saying that to undertake roofing work (as is the case with any other legally prescribed work) builders must undertake the same qualification that all other licensed roof plumbers are required to. There is no ‘short cut’ to roofing and it is a very technical and specialist skill. If you are a consumer, please ensure that any roof work that you have done is undertaken by a fully licenced roof plumber. Master Plumbers sees a lot of dodgy work out there and the costs to fix this defective work often runs into the hundreds of thousands. Please don’t go for the cheapest go for the best - a fully licensed tradesperson. 19.01.2022 EAST COAST HOUSE This projects was finished recently by a good friend who built and designed the place himself. It was a privilege to be part of the roof and eave construction which are one of the many highlights of the place. The house is designed to be passively heating and cooling itself. Also note the beautiful conservatory integrated into the internal courtyard. What a build!

10.01.2022 RECENT LACHLAN TASMANIA PROJECT: This is an interesting outdoor living space where we completed the ceiling lining with corrugated roofing iron, the challenge was to create seamless lines without breaking the changes in pitch with flashings.
