23.01.2022 Year 11s had an outstanding evening, beginning a new tradition and replacing their Informal with a fancy moonlight cinema evening. With a food van, popcorn, and fairy floss machine; there were giggles and cheers, as the girls enjoyed each-others company in their onesies and PJs!

22.01.2022 We have ended Term 3 of learning on a high! After 3 evening and 2 day performances of Grease-The Musical, our girls have shown their determination and talent. This evening culminated in celebrating the power of community and the richness of the performing arts at the College. It is now time to take stock and have a rest for 2 weeks. Given Covid-19 challenges, it is important to thank all our wonderful staff who have given of themselves so generously in this very full Term. Enjoy the holidays ahead!

14.01.2022 Former St Dominics student Natalia came to the school today to celebrate a belated Science Week as NitroNat. She performed numerous fun and colourful experiments to the reception to Year 12 students.

14.01.2022 We had an excellent and super fun Transition Day yesterday, with the complete cohort of Year 7-2021 and look forward to welcoming these girls and their parents back to the College again in Term 4. The transition into secondary school is especially significant as readiness for school is predictive of long-term academic and occupational achievements.

13.01.2022 Mental Health and Wellbeing Week saw our SRCs displaying positive affirmations on the bathroom mirrors today, as a cheer up reminder that we all matter absolutely. Tomorrow our Prefects have a lunchtime activity planned to bring our student community together!

09.01.2022 Yesterday the College provided a coffee van and crossiant breakfast for staff, to mark the end of Term. At St Dominics, we have proceeded with learning, cancelling very little, but rather moving many of our earlier calendar events to Term 3 and 4. Our lovely staff continue to be professional and adaptable, embracing change which leads to a dynamic and supportive learning environment for our girls. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Here, Mr Larwood's Year 12 Religion Studies Class are working with the Year 4 Class; one of a series of interactions designed to help the girls, have conversations, and foster a supportive learning environment.

While our Year 7s enjoyed a warm drink and some tiny teddy biscuits, our Year 8s sucked on a lollipop and our Year 9-11s were also given some sweets to mark the Colleges support of these important initiatives. 05.01.2022 CURIOUS CREATURES WILD MINDS Although the official date for BOOK WEEK is in Term 4, the Primary classes celebrated early; recently devoting a whole day to delve into books in wild and creative ways. Curious Creature masks, mural painting, book and bookmark making and buddy class showcases of Book Week Adopt a Books... it was a time for cosy reading, book chats, exploring our creativity and lots of fun!

04.01.2022 This morning our Receptions celebrated their dad and dad figures, with a special Chapel Mass. We are certain many deserving dad and dad figures will receive a surprise handmade gift this weekend. Our young children have a sincere and honest way of expressing their love towards the people they value the most in their lives. These moments are certainly worth cherishing.

04.01.2022 Reception to Year 3 students enjoyed a performance of 'Me and My Shadow' at the Dunstan Theatre on Friday. They were amazed and excited by this great show.

04.01.2022 Earlier this month, the Year 4 girls found that Zoo Snooze was a great way to piece together their year's learning about the rainforest, Africa and South America, and sustainability. All were excited to view the animals, within their habitats; particularly the gibbon, baboon and meerkat. We thank Cat, our very knowledgeable Zoo Educator, for exploring the zoo with us.

03.01.2022 A surprise lunch for our Year 12s today was a way to acknowledge the confidence and resilience they have shown, during times of uncertainty. These girls were truly surprised and moved by the gesture!

02.01.2022 Mental Health and Wellbeing Week saw a screening of Mulan at lunch. With a gold coin donation at the door, the $$ raised will be donated to TABOO.

02.01.2022 The Commissioner for Children and Young People promotes and advocates for the rights, development and wellbeing of all children and young people in South Australia. Today at lunch time, our SRCs met with the Commissioner, Helen Connolly; engaging in discussion about what is important to St Dominics girls and what they would like to see change over time. This was a fun and insightful session filled with posters, stickers, post it notes and rich conversations. Thank you to Helen Connolly for visiting the College.
