25.01.2022 Hi Everyone The Victorian Government has eased some coved-19 restrictions today. The restrictions lifted are limited and do not make allowances for the resumption of full training. The AFLSE has advised in regards to training that nothing has changed, that there is to be no formal training at this point. ... Council are yet to allow any training on their sports ovals at this stage. A presidents meeting is scheduled for tomorrow night and the AFL is in a meeting with the government to discuss a return to training procedures for community sports, this document should be made available within the next 72 hours. Once the document is released itll be made available ASAP. I hope youre keeping safe and active, hopefully not long now.
25.01.2022 Here is a quick guide on how to wash your hands with soap and water and how to wash your hands with sanitiser. if we return to training all kids will need to follow these guidelines. Washing your hands with soap and water is the best defense in killing the germs on your hands and prevent them spreading further. Particularly if you hands are visibly dirty or have flu like symptoms etc. If you cant access soap and water, hand sanitiser is your best next option.

23.01.2022 Latest news from AFLVIC, 2 groups of 20 now allowed.
22.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all our Dads, hope you have the best day.
22.01.2022 The Birtles family is part of the Seaford JFC family, Dave is a life member and former coach and player, he played all his junior years at the club. If you are able to donate to this worthy cause please do so.
22.01.2022 It is with regret and disappointment that we announce that the 2020 football season for Seaford JFC will not proceed due to the latest restrictions announced today. Training is to cease from midnight tonight. I would like to personally thank all our fantastic coaches and team managers for all their efforts to keep our members engaged in very difficult circumstances and for continuing in the hope we would get a season up for our junior players. ... I would also thank all the parents who supported our great club by continuing to attend training and for persevering against all odds. To all our junior legends, especially the players who will age out for next season, Im sorry we couldnt get it done for you but we thank you for all your efforts and the joy you have given us over your journey. We will return bigger and better in season 2021. As for the fees paid by extremely organised parents you have a couple of options; 1. A full refund minus any transaction fees. (I.e. 8% from SportsTG) 2. Redirect the payment against the 2021 season, therefore insuring against any fee increase (which I can almost guarantee will happen). Should you choose a refund, please email [email protected] with your childs name, team and banking details and we will process ASAP. Please realise that we will receive a significant number of requests and they will take time to process so please be patient. Should you wish to redirect your fees against the 2021 season, again, please email [email protected] with your childs name and team and we will record it against your childs name for the following season. Rest assured that as we are a financially secure club, your fees are readily available and you need not rush your decision, however, everyones circumstances are different and we are more than happy to comply with any decision you make. I also take this time to thank our extremely hard working Executive members who have spent many hours trying to ensure we had a season. If you have any questions or concerns please dont hesitate to ask, either here, by email or my mobile 0435 900 674. Again thank you for all your patience at a very unpredictable time. Regards Mark Davenport President Seaford JFC.
21.01.2022 Just a reminder if you register your child for season 2021, please do not click in the tick box next to payment. Please skip that step to only register your child or children. As soon as we know a fee for single players and families, we will advise ASAP.
21.01.2022 Following a meeting with club presidents from the Frankston and Districts Junior Football League (FDJFL) and South East Juniors (SEJ) AFL South East (AFLSE) would like to provide a Return to Play Update for junior football across the region. AFLSE would like to thank clubs for their participation in Wednesday nights meeting, and for taking part in a club survey with results to provide guidance in the formation of competition structures for the 2020 season. Victorian Prem...ier Daniel Andrews announced a relaxing of restrictions on Sunday June 14, with full-contact training and competition for people aged 18 years and under to be allowed from Monday June 22. In addition, an announcement was made that changing rooms and showers for sporting and recreational facilities can also be used from the same date. Taking into account these announcements - and a required preparation period of three weeks - AFLSE can announce that it has a clear position on a starting date of Sunday July 12 for all junior competitions across the region, including FDJFL, SEJ and AFLSE Top-Age. The length of the season will be confirmed after consultation with junior representation on the AFLSE Advisory Board. The return to play protocols are yet to be finalised by AFL Victoria and fully endorsed by the Victoria State Government. AFLSE will continue to work with these relevant parties to gain further clarification and will notify clubs as information comes to hand. The safety and wellbeing of our AFLSE community remain our top priority. Clubs are expected to maintain non-contact training sessions - with agreed training protocols until otherwise notified. AFLSE thank all club presidents, players, coaches, officials, and volunteers for helping to keep the AFLSE community safe. Juniors clubs across the AFLSE region are free to share the above information with their members.
21.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just want to give everybody an update after tonights Presidents meeting. We have been advised that the return to training document would be out Friday or Monday which will instruct clubs on the protocols for a possible return to training. ... AFLSE have again advised that no organised training can occur until the document is out and the clubs have met the requirements in the document. Frankston Council have today advised that football training is still not allowed (see below). (From FCC) What community sports remain prohibited and can I train? You can participate in training for all sports, but it must be non-contact, with only 10 people participating at any one time in addition to those people running the training (e.g. coach, manager). This means that contact sports will not be able to occur including Australian Rules Football, other codes of football and soccer, unless modifications are made to ensure physical distancing. Indoor sports remain prohibited as there is an increase in the risk of transmission while exercising in an enclosed space. Martial arts including judo, karate and taekwondo will not be possible, given physical distancing requirements. As a club we need to ensure we follow all protocols laid out by all the governing bodies which will hopefully speed up the process clearing the way to a resumption of the footy season. That is our end goal.
21.01.2022 Hi players, parents, coaches and team managers, Below is the first stage of protocols required to get back to training. These protocols MUST be strictly adhered to. Please note that the resumption of training does not guarantee a return to competitive football at this time. We are not yet permitted to train at this stage as we are not yet compliant and not as yet approved by the league.... We are also yet to be given access to the grounds from the council. We advise that training will not be what you have been used to previously due to Covid 19. All Teams will eventually be permitted to train but must be approved by the club prior to participating due to the below restrictions. Strict Social Distancing & Hygiene Protocols as per Return to Training Document Training protocols must be strictly adhered to Training Permitted in groups of up to 10 (excluding coach) You must keep a record of those who are in each training session Change rooms, club rooms and wet areas are not to be used (i.e. players arrive at venue in football gear and must shower at home). Footballs are allowed but no other equipment. Limited additional equipment is permitted (i.e. field marking cones are permitted). Strictly no contact activity-based training Parents or caregivers for junior participants must remain outside the boundary line and observe social distancing and we strongly recommend junior players have a maximum of 1 parent/caregiver present at training. We need all players / parents / care givers to comply so as to give us the best opportunity to resume a meaningful season. If you have any concerns or questions please contact me on 0435 900 674. Regards Mark
21.01.2022 Just another reminder.....

19.01.2022 Hi all please see the latest communication from AFLSE. Not ideal but out of ours and the Leagues hands at the moment. RETURN TO TRAIN / PLAY For the avoidance of doubt, the current Return to Small Outdoor Group Training Protocols restricting groups to a maximum of 2 groups of 10 remain in place. Although the announcement from the Premier on the weekend is another positive step forward, we await advice from AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria on how this will be applied to Foo...tball and Netball. We understand the challenges in implementing and managing the Return to Train protocols and thank all clubs and their volunteers for their efforts. It is critically important that collectively we continue to take all steps not to compromise the health and wellbeing of our wider AFLSE community. Although there is an eagerness on a return to play date, AFLSE will continue to work on a return to play strategy based on the updates from the state government and AFL Victoria which could come as early next week. At this time training is on hold till we get further advise. Regards Devo

18.01.2022 Hello Everyone We have just received some good news from AFLSE whom received this information from AFL Vic Country. A return to training date has been set as of th 25th May. We are awaiting on the protocols for return to train to be released to all clubs.... Once we have more information we will endeavour to get this information out to you all. Coaches we will be in contact with you all once protocols have been released and look into getting your training started again.
18.01.2022 Dear Seaford JFC club members, Please take the time to read the attached document of a return to training protocol which must be strictly adhered to. This does not guarantee a return to competitive football but is a step in the right direction. The club Executive will meet soon to discuss this document and the best way to implement all directives given. Due to the necessity for the restrictive nature of the protocols, training as you have been used to, will need to be modifi...ed. How this will look needs to be determined. Im sure were all anxious to get back to normal training and games and as long as we follow the directions given, this will go a long way to ensure we can. Regards Devo

14.01.2022 Hi all patient club members, This is a communication we received today from the Frankston City Council re tenancy and ground usage. Progress is being made ever so slowly but at least were moving in the right direction. ... Dear Frankston City Council AFL Clubs I hope you are all well and taking care during this time. It was encouraging to see the State Government announcing the easing of some restrictions last week around sport and physical exercise with the release of the Sport and Recreation Victoria Return to Play Guidelines for Community Sport & Recreation and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and support during this period. As you are aware AFL South East has just released Return to Play guidelines for all AFL clubs following AFL Victorias Statement yesterday. Council will need to work through these guidelines as to their implications for the clubs tenancy and access to grounds for training under all relevant restrictions. Therefore we kindly request that club training is not permitted until your tenancy is issued. Thank you again for your support of AFL and community sport in Frankston. We look forward to being in touch with further information very soon.

12.01.2022 An Update for all Community Based Clubs from AFL Victoria, To our Valued Football Community, We hope you and your family had a safe and happy Easter at home thi...s year, as we all play our part in supporting the Australian community and health system. Without football on our fields, we have embraced the important role that football can still play in our lives. With the power of social media and technology, we have seen an overwhelming celebration of football on our small screens including trick kicks, skills and drills, family footy at home and some ingenious training techniques in isolation. We thank you for playing your part in flattening the curve, and we are optimistic that we will get our game underway at some stage, in some format later this year. Rest assured, the AFL and its State and Territory affiliates have a dedicated team of people working diligently to explore what this might look like for our clubs and communities. Understandably, we are still uncertain about the exact date of commencement for our game, but we want to provide you with some certainty about the actions and next steps we are taking from a national AFL approach: We are constantly reviewing the situation and the different levels of advice being provided by State/Territories and Federal Government and relevant medical authorities. We are developing key principles of decision making for a return to football around Government policies and restrictions, guidance for schools, workplaces and medical recommendations. We are paying close attention to international benchmarks and behaviours, and how other countries are treating their return to sport. We are working closely with Government, medical advisors and the AFLs Chief Medical Officer to ensure we have the very latest advice and insight around when we may be able to kick off our game. We are exploring modified formats in our endeavours to get a season underway in 2020. We are preparing a series of protocols that will provide guidance for when football does return. We are constantly engaging with as many of our Leagues and Clubs as possible, to understand your concerns and considerations. Importantly, we have not given up on this season. We are hopeful that we will be back on the field as soon as it is safe to do so and you can be confident that you will have our full support to ensure this return is as safe and well prepared as possible. We are aiming to provide a more detailed update at the end of April, post the announcement of an expected roadmap for the elite game. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain and unprecedented time and recommend that all Leagues delay any announcement around 2020 season commencement dates or season cancellations until we provide further information at the end of the month. In the meantime, we ask you continue the fantastic work and to keep footy alive in your households and communities. From AFL Victoria
11.01.2022 Corona ...... get stuffed Well this season was over, before it began... Not a ball was bounced, not a song was sang We gave it a crack, we gave it our best But no Footy this year, who wouldve guessed Think back to last Summer when the weather was warm And tucked away in the closet, your footy uniform Ready to come out when a chill hit the air But what was on the horizon, no one was aware Life was turned sideways, all over the earth We had time to reflect, on life and its worth We got back into puzzles, and schooling from home We stayed with our families, not far could we roam We learnt the importance of friendship, when it was taken away We couldnt visit our friends, to go over and play But we flattened the curve and school started once more And footy looked like it was just outside the door But sometimes in life we go through troughs and through peaks So back into lockdown we go for another 6 weeks With that, Footy is gone for the year 2020 A year that offered so much, with options aplenty But time it will pass, well get back on our feet When challenges arise, head on we will meet We are Red Hill families and together we stride We stick together and walk side by side But please call out for help if you are in need These are unprecedented times, Im sure weve all agreed We will get through this year if we all stick together We'll wait out the storm and look for warmer weather We were looking forward to Footy, it was going to be a blast Some playing their first game, some playing their last But theres always next year to do up the laces To belt out the song and see joy on their faces I look forward to then, itll be here before we know To watch the kids take the field and put on a show So get in an early pre season, hit the weights and get buffed Im sure we can all agree on this - Corona can get stuffed Rohan Williams President Red Hill Junior Football Club

07.01.2022 Received tonight, looks like June 21 may be the trigger. AFLSE POSITION STATEMENT RETURN TO PLAY Sent to all AFLSE Club Presidents, Secretaries, AFLSE Advisory, Richard Black, AFLSE Management and Staff... AFL South East (AFLSE) would like to take this opportunity to update our much-valued football and netball communities on our position regarding a return to competitive sport in 2020. The regions club's approach to a return to training over the past few weeks has seen strong numbers across junior, senior football and netball and is the first step to returning to competitive sport across the region. Our consistent approach during these unique and challenging times has been to take advice from Federal and State Government, our sporting bodies AFL Victoria/Netball Victoria and to work collaboratively with our clubs to ensure the best path forward. This will remain our approach, and we are fully aware of the importance of a safe environment for all participants involved and the ongoing sustainability of our clubs. Head of AFL South East Richard Black and AFL South East Chief Operating Officer Shaun Connell met with the 22 MPNFL clubs tonight (Wednesday, June 3) where the clubs confirmed to maintain their position to review the status of the 2020 MPNFL football/netball season following the update from the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Sunday, June 21. The clubs will convene following the announcement from the State Premier to consider their position. Consultation with clubs from the Frankston and District Junior Football League (FDJFL), South East Juniors (SEJ), Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League (MPJFL) and South Eastern Womens Football (SEWF) will also continue, with competitions to be considered independent of the MPNFL process. We thank all member clubs and the community for their patience - and we take a positive approach to see football and netball being played under the AFLSE banner in 2020. Regards AFL South East

04.01.2022 UPDATE FROM LEAGUE | Season Postponed FOR INFORMATION: Junior Football Update Postponed until Sunday July 26 Sent to Club Presidents and Secretaries, AFLSE Management and Staff, AFLSE Advisory Committee and Media. ... AFL South East (AFLSE) this week met with club presidents from the Frankston and District Junior Football League (FDJFL) and South East Juniors (SEJ) to review the position of clubs on the updated Return to Play protocols (RTP) and ever-changing Covid-19 environment. As a result, AFLSE advises that - in the best interest of clubs, volunteers, participants, and the community - the commencement of junior football will be postponed until Sunday July 26. AFLSE understands that the current State Government guidelines allow for the commencement of junior sport. However, given the evolving Covid-19 situation is creating uncertainty within the community and posing an increased risk, the postponement will enable us to continue to monitor and assess any potential risk. It is essential to note some significant updates, which include the following: Only those necessary to support participation should attend training and competitions and must abide by current group gathering restrictions. Participants should not shake hands or give high fives. Further detailed information on the cleaning of clubrooms. Information about how non-compliance should be addressed. AFLSE remains committed on a return to play if it is safe to do so. While disappointing, we believe delaying the start to the season is in the best interest of our wider community and provides the best chance to return to play in 2020. We will continue to keep clubs and the wider community updated as required.

02.01.2022 Now more than ever, Victorian kids deserve the chance to get outside and be active. Back with their friends and teammates back on the pitch, the courts, and t...he cricket nets. But new boots and rego fees aren't cheap and for some families, the cost means that kids miss out altogether. We don't think that's fair. Which is why we're doing this: For the first time ever, up to 100,000 Victorian kids will be given $200 sports vouchers to help cover the cost of getting involved. New bats, balls, uniforms, memberships and sign-up fees can be paid for and the vouchers will be available next year in time for community sport to get going again. I know this might seem like a simple announcement but it'll go a long way towards making sure every Victorian child has the opportunity to follow their passion, do their best and have fun. It'll mean that the next Don Bradman or Tayla Harris doesn't miss out simply because their family can't afford the fees. And it makes things that little bit fairer too.
02.01.2022 If you’re like me and you’ve missed your footy then pop down to Linen House tonight and check out these games. Show a bit of support for Seaford JFC legends in the making players Tarj McGuinness and Jayden Messina. 4 quality games to be had.
