25.01.2022 And she’s done While Bec is stoked to have gotten back to work post lockdown even for just a little bit, at 38 weeks she’s definitely happy to be heading on mat leave now! Enjoy the time resting and nesting. We can’t wait to meet baby Elbrow

23.01.2022 Back in the swing You know you love your job when at 36 weeks pregnant, you couldn’t be more excited to be back at work! 12 weeks of forced rest beforehand via lockdown definitely helped the energy levels but Bec is stoked to be back in the clinic getting through as much as she can before diving in to motherhood

21.01.2022 Who’s keen for summer to return?? Not happy to be having to still have the winter blankets on but hopefully it’s not for too long!! Only a few working days left in the year for the our Myo’s and what a year it has been! We are feeling grateful to be on the other side of it all and thankful for the support we have had from everyone. Looking forward to some big things to come

14.01.2022 Less than a month to go! We couldn’t wait and so this baby has been up for a few weeks now but when it’s this pretty how could we not! After the year we have had, the thought of Christmas has us beyond excited! We are hoping all clients who visit enjoy seeing our decorations and looking forward to celebrating with family and friends as much as us

14.01.2022 Big smiles all round The boss enjoying a coffee break on a big first day back in the clinic. It’s been hectic but after so many weeks of waiting and wanting to get here, we couldn’t be happier. (And don’t worry, mask was off only for the photo! )

08.01.2022 Things are looking up We hope everyone had a great weekend. It was good being able to get out and socialise and even though it was still restricted, it helps that we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel! We are loving being back in the clinic and it being so busy but need to make sure we are looking after ourselves too! We encourage people to book ahead if you know there’s a possibility you’ll need a repeat appointment. Don’t forget we also have a Waitlist too

05.01.2022 What is the difference between myotherapy and remedial massage therapy This is a question that comes up quite a bit. While most people know that they are two types of health practitioners, there can be confusion as sometimes you can have treatment from a Myotherapist or Remedial Massage therapist that seems almost the same. So what is the difference between myotherapy and remedial massage? To start with, while there are some similarities in the education pathways ear...ly on, Myotherapy then branches off to an extra level of study. There are also a few bachelor degree options at university level for myotherapy, which is not the case for remedial massage. When it comes to definitions, they are as follows: - Myotherapy is the evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions. - Remedial Massageis the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. To most people, this may not sound overly different. So to put it a little more simply, Remedial Massage Therapists generally focus on assessing and treating the symptoms of musculoskeletal pain and discomfort; whereas a Myotherapist will both assess and treat the symptoms while investigating the underlying cause/s (which can be behavioural, postural, involve muscular imbalances, etc) and work towards addressing these as well See more

05.01.2022 Back to normal Clinic hours are back to normal this week! We are happy as to be starting the year afresh and excited to see everyone again. Just a little reminder that our usual cancelation policy is out the window in these Covid times. If you’ve been to a hotspot or are living with someone who is self isolating, please call and we will happily reschedule your appointment! And don’t forget, masks are required in the clinic for your appointments
