20.01.2022 Congratulations to club stalwart Brad Mulvogue who last night received life membership at STCC. Brads first involvement with the club was as Bar Manager in the 2010/11 Season. He continued in that role for a number of years and still helps out behind the bar today. During the 2013/2014 season he was talked into filling the vacant Secretary’s role and still holds that role today, this season is his 8th as Secretary.... It’s hard to put into words exactly what Brad does for the club but it goes far beyond the already challenging role of secretary. He is at the club every Saturday running the bar and helping with the drinks and afternoon teas while the cricket is on and after the cricket enters the scores and runs the bar often late into the night. He is always a great help at fundraisers and social events often buying, preparing and cooking the food. Brad is a well loved member of the Seaford Tigers Cricket Club always going above and beyond for the committee and players and we congratulate him on this well deserved achievement. STCC life members in attendance last night.

17.01.2022 The committee would like to wish Liam Cox all the best as he heads to Frankston Heat this year. A popular guy around club and a premiership star, Coxy has come through our juniors and into the seniors as a key player for the tigers. An opening bowler for several years now, he took an impressive 18 wickets at an average of 23 in our premiership year. Handy with the bat as well, Coxy made a match winning 27* against Delecombe where he steered us over the line being 9 down and ...needing 40 to win. Through hard work on and off the field, Coxy has become a real threat that opposition clubs talk about. We welcome Vimesh Wickramasinghe. 28-year-old Vimesh comes to us from Sri Lanka after spending a few years at a couple of other local clubs. Vimesh is a batting All-Rounder. Playing First Class Cricket in Sri Lanka (Super Premier League), the Sri Lankan National Development Squad, Sri Lanka Navy & Baduraliya Cricket Club. Since coming to Australia, Vimesh has played at local clubs Blackburn & Haig Fawkner Cricket Clubs. 04.01.2022 TIGERS NEWS Under 16s Coach and Woolworths Coordinator in Season 2020/21 The club has received expressions of interest to coach our other junior team grades though still require an Under 16s Coach and Woolworths Coordinator for Season 2020/21... Under 16s Coach Our talented Under 16s team played finals cricket last season in a tough competition narrowly missing the Grand Final. With majority of the players staying together next season they need a suitable member to lead them into season 2020/21. Under 16s training has been scheduled around senior training on Tuesday and Thursday Nights at around 5pm. Match days are on Friday Night starting at 5pm. The committee are keen for a member of the Senior Playing group to hopefully get involve in coaching our Under 16s. If any senior player commits to coaching the Under 16s the club will cover your annual subs valued at $180. Woolworths Coordinator The club has run Woolworths Cricket program over the past 5 seasons to introduce young kids into cricket to guide them into junior cricket and our Under 10s teams. Teaching young kids, the sport you love is very satisfying as you may develop a future star along with the joy of seeing the future stars of our club grow. The club has recently conducted the Woolworths sessions on Thursday Nights from 4:30pm though the coordinator can choose a suitable time and day to suit them. Once again, the committee is keen for a member of the senior playing group to get involved in the clubs junior program. If any senior player commits to the Woolworths coordinator role the club will cover your annual subs valued at $180. 03.01.2022 TIGER NEWS - Jake Harrington appointed Senior Coach of Seaford Tigers Cricket Club The Seaford Tigers Cricket Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Harrington into the role of Senior Coach for the 2020/21 season. The club is embarking on a new chapter going into the MPCA Peninsula grade and is extremely excited Jake has decided to guide the club into new beginnings. Jake has played senior cricket at STCC for 2 seasons after arriving at the club in 2018/19 from C...ranbourne Cricket Club where Jake played in the First XI Turf grade. Jake provides an all-round skill set with bat and ball having come off a great season in 2019/20 as part of our clubs First XI Premiership season. Jake will bring to the club the skill set to coach our playing group along with a plethora of ideas to ensure the club strengthens and grows into next season and future seasons. All current and past players, committee members, life members, sponsors, family and friends are invited to attend. Tickets to the function are $50pp inclusive of a gourmet BBQ dinner, 2 hours of complimentary beer, wine, cider and soft drink and 1 x ticket for the $2,000 draw.... Additional tickets for the draw can be purchased for $25 each (these do not include dinner and drinks package) Team of the Decade 2010 - 2019 will be announced on the night. Other new additions to Belvedere Park over the years include the installation of electronic scoreboards, new coaches boxes, fencing around the second oval and most recently, the light towers, which will hopefully allow us to play some night cricket this summer!...
