17.01.2022 So very proud of my beautiful partner Shelly who raised $4,000 to help Aussie families beat blood cancer. A great big thank you to all sponsors. Every bit helps in funding vital research to help more people survive blood cancer. It was an awesome night at Palm Cove Surf Lifesaving Club last Friday night. Thank you to our friends who came and supported this awesome cause.... Cheers Greg

07.01.2022 I am very proud of my beautiful partner Shelly who is currently studying nursing at James Cook University. She is passionate about helping others, and is joining the Fight Against Blood Cancer. Every day another 35 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That is one Australian ever 41 minutes. Right now, more than 60,000 Australians are living with blood cancer or related disorders.... Although research is improving survival, blood cancer claims more lives than breast cancer and melanoma, and sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours. If the patient lives in rural or regional areas, the impact is great. They may need to relocate for months or years of treatment leaving everyone and everything behind. This is heartbreaking for all concerned. The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to helping more Australians with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related disorders survive their blood cancer and live a better quality of life. It would be so very appreciative if you could please sponsor Shelly in the Greatest Shave, and help fight blood cancer. This is an example of the difference you can make to someones life: $80 can give a regional family a home for a night to reduce the financial burden of city treatment $120 can support a blood cancer research project for a day through a PhD scholarship grant All donations are tax deductible. Please find below link to sponsoring Shelly - https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au//FundraisingPage Thank you for your kindness - it is greatly appreciated. Cheers Greg Denman
