25.01.2022 Random shots from last week roadtrip. Sadly including Moura memorial I haven't been to this before. Visited many others including Pike River. Unfortunately as mine surveyors we have been involved in way too many fatality surveys both surface and underground including recent ones. Solemn place and the thing that stuck in my mind was the blank sections left for future names.... Don't know the solution as rightly so, everyone has very strong opinions. After 30 years of working across most mines, the thing that stands out is lack of mentoring in all areas with a lot of inexperienced people out there who don't know what they don't know....

23.01.2022 STAYING IN FRONT OF LATEST TECH. Dave Brown and I trialled the Trimble X7 today and put it through its paces. Some nice features like lightness, size, live comparison to CAD models, ease of use, onboard tablet storage, registration and colour rendering. We will take a close look at the data tonight against what we already use.# #seamteam #stayingahead

22.01.2022 Great to catch up with just some of the QLD mining team and clients. Covered a few miles this week with the excuse of taking a vehicle and gear up to Big Toni! Will be on the tools again for a few months then we’ll have to try and have a beer with the ones I missed!

No Issue - Hovermap can go anywhere mounted on anything and capture reality as fast as you can walk, drive or fly it! Our recent offshore job of 2 weeks with four precision scanners was captured in 1 day. We can't scan from the ocean side as nowhere to set up.....No Problem we'll Hovermap it from drone, boat and handheld! You still need the millimetres from stationery scanning for engineering but when slightly less precision is needed and Super Fast capture - this is the answer!!! 15.01.2022 Callum Gardner, I hate to admit it...but you go all right! We just completed a 40 set up control survey around washplant, dams, spoil piles and conveyors in 40 degrees heat. We tied into 5 of your old control marks from 5 years ago.(the rest had been found by bulldozers as usual) After 1350 observations the largest standard deviation was 2 mm and biggest delta from original coordinates 3mm.. #leicawhenithastoberight! Now for the digital level run up the mountain!

14.01.2022 Our shareholders tax planning meeting in the "big smoke" today. Very fortunate to have a great team around me to so I can keep finalising some projects n CQ which is where I love to be. "Work on the business not in it" they say...I disagree and I believe all our management team lead from the front which is what keeps us up to date with what our clients needs are.

Typically using our fixed wings across a majority of sites, these multirotors are performing exceptionally well. Powerful PCs keeps turnaround time short. Rendered accurate models improving planning and reducing in-pit surveys improving safety.
