25.01.2022 New and different but still comfortingly familiar! The features from the glass skis you know and love on a plastic kayak. #fusion480

24.01.2022 Finishing touches on the sail rigging for the Xplora. It’s running a trade wind sail from Flat Earth which are well proven on Bass Strait by the sea kayaking crew. Folds away nicely on the front deck. Looking forward to seeing what speeds we can get out of this - it’s the reason why the larger Xplora rudder came about and also why the hull runs a vee shape.

23.01.2022 One for the kingy chasers!

22.01.2022 Tidy way to run your transducer cables through to the fish hatch for Garmin and Humminbird owners. Cable covers available on our web store now @ Somerville, Victoria, Australia

21.01.2022 Berkley Quick Set rod holder mounted on one of our front rod holder brackets makes it easy to grab a squid rod, sabiki or bait rod from the seat of your ski without having to lean forward to pull the rod out of the rod holder. Mounts in front of the foot pedal out of the way and you can still open the fish hatch. Pardon the exposure on the photo, it gets dark too early these days!

21.01.2022 New mold in progress for the fish hatch cover on the new #xplora18 @martymakesamess killing it again!

20.01.2022 Busy end to the year and looking forward to a few days r&r! We’ll be back on Jan 2nd. Wishing you and yours a happy holiday with plenty of time on the water!

19.01.2022 New Xplora 18 out of the mold and ready for rigging and fit out. The snapper are calling!

19.01.2022 Sometimes all you need is a new set of bungee lines to store your gear! Workshop opens back up Jan 2nd, drop us a line if you need to book in a job.

19.01.2022 Tuna and sriracha salmon poké bowl. Healthy dinner to be undone by grand final beers!

18.01.2022 White lightning on the way!

18.01.2022 Wrapped up the Humminbird Helix sidescan install and some running repairs on Giuseppe’s Fisha 460 today ready to torment the fish stocks down the coast again @ Somerville, Victoria, Australia

16.01.2022 Our demo #fusion480 has made it to Melbourne! Looking forward to seeing how it goes on the water compared to the glass skis. With restrictions set to lift on the 9th drop us a line if you are keen to check it out.

16.01.2022 Out with the pad eye, in with a @berleypro orb. Lighting sorted for snapper season!

11.01.2022 Getting ready to test the scan port on our Xplora 18 on the local snapper population. Transducer install on a glass ski with no holes to drill and cables routed nicely into the fish hatch! Plenty of room inside to safely install any of the popular downscan and standard sonar models on the market out of the way but with more accurate water temps than an in-hull install. Side scan units attach to the underside with protective covers. No sikaflex required, and if you do change sounders down the track, unbolt the cover pull the old transducer out and off you go again!

11.01.2022 A few more snapper mods underway with a set of front bait rod holders using Berkeley quick sets- the lift out feature is handy for rod holders in front of your paddle stroke. The quick release kit has almost become a standard mod these days and the Helix 7 is probably one of the best SI units to install on a trailing mount due to the lower drag from what has to be one of the smallest side imaging transducers on the market.

11.01.2022 Here’s the full walkthrough vid for the new fusion 480. Won’t be long till they hit Aussie shores!

09.01.2022 Some transducer recess dimensions for the guys thinking about what sounder to install on their Stealth #fusion480.

09.01.2022 Perfect time to sort your hatch out with a Berleypro side bro! #notjustforhobies

09.01.2022 Another update on the Fusion 480, Brett runs though how some of the common transducers attach via the scupper in the footwell. https://youtu.be/PjoWVAzWDK4

08.01.2022 Things are getting back to normal over in SA and new things are brewing at the Stealth factory. First few #fusion480 kayaks are rolling off the production line, due to hit Aussie shores mid-year. Watch this space! @ Stealth Performance Products

08.01.2022 I’m not Dr Garth Fisher, but that’s an Epic nose job! The weather is mint and this ski is ready for the water again.

08.01.2022 A disintegrated conduit had meant that the owner could no longer deploy the skeg on this sea kayak as the stainless cable was just pooling in the rear hatch area. Tricky to reach once the kayak has been joined, but the fragments of the old conduit are removed and a brand new one is in. The skeg is good to go and things are back on track @ Somerville, Victoria, Australia

07.01.2022 The magnetic tackle tray on the new #Xplora18 sits between the livewell and fish hatch opening. Perfect for jig heads, slugs and live bait hooks!

04.01.2022 Some more info on the new fusion from Stealth HQ... https://youtu.be/rmcygeVYazU

03.01.2022 Because one front rod holder is never enough! Twin #railblaza HD star ports on the front of the Xplora intended for Kiwi style rear facing rod tubes giving you somewhere to stash your rod when landing a fish or extra storage for your sabiki when not in use. The second one will make a great spot for a camera on a swing arm. The options are endless with a side opening reversible fish hatch!

03.01.2022 Finished @BerleyPro orb install on Andre’s ski with @martymakesamess going the extra yard to supply a custom base for the existing start port HD on the back of this Fisha 500. @ Somerville, Victoria, Australia

02.01.2022 One of the little extras on the new #stealthkayaks fusion - an external recess on one of the scuppers to accommodate the mounting of the transducer for your fish finder. @ Somerville, Victoria, Australia
