25.01.2022 Sorry for the silence or to anyone who is trying to get in touch. I’m currently taking a break with my family and will be back in the store, and available for appointments, from March 17. We should be open properly the following week too

25.01.2022 Yes we are open! To ensure the safety of us and our customers we ask you to please make an appointment if you would like to come in (maximum of 2 customers at a time). We have lots of hand sanitizer on hand and ask to please reschedule if you are feeling unwell. Please stay safe

21.01.2022 Our new home! We are in the process of moving to our new location at 3/277 Barkly St, Footscray in the old Barkly theatre. We will be setting up over January and will be back on the bench and ready for appointments in February!

20.01.2022 Second Empire will be reopening on November 4th so I can set up the store properly and be ready for the new jobs already booked in. If you are already booked in and are desperate to come in earlier please get in contact as I will be in the store. Once open I strongly encourage making an appointment to come in for any repair work and custom pieces. Walk ins are fine but you may have to wait awhile if I already have bookings. ... 20.01.2022 It’s my last day of self quarantine today and to celebrate I will be offering 30% off everything on my website to clear the way for some new pieces. I will still be making jewellery when I can and will be available for 1 person appointments with social distancing precautions in place. 19.01.2022 Still working on the shop so I thought I’d share some progress shots. Hopefully we should be all done in the next couple of weeks. I am back at the bench though so am taking appointments for repairs and custom pieces. Bookings can be made from my Instagram and Facebook page or dm me for the link.

17.01.2022 I arrived home yesterday from overseas so am required to self isolate for 14 days. Unfortunately as I am a sole operator, I am unable to open the shop during this time. Whilst I understand why we need to do this, as a small business it makes things really tough and I apologize to anyone who’s pieces and repairs are now delayed because of this. I will be in contact with you all as soon as I can

17.01.2022 Exciting news!! Bookings are now available from Wednesday November 4th. As I’ll only be allowing one person/couple/family in the store at a time I recommend making a booking rather than just popping in as I’m already getting back to back appointments booked. Also just a heads up my cutoff for Christmas custom pieces is November 14

16.01.2022 I could stare at these opals all day! This ring was a remake, the original was the same style but with 5 opals (one was broken) and the ring itself was very worn out. It had originally belong to Anita’s grandmother so we had 3 of the opals repolished, added some extra gold from some old jewellery and remade it in the same style to keep all the sentiment. 12.01.2022 Looks like I’ll be closed a little while longer with the announcement of stage 4 restrictions here in Melbourne. Even though I won’t be available in the shop I’ll be working on what I can from home and working on my website. I will also be still available for any enquires so feel free to get in touch! Let’s get this sorted so our small businesses can open up again for good this time!

10.01.2022 I’m pretty excited to announced with the kids back at school tomorrow I will now be able to open my new normal hours! From this week I’ll be open Wednesday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Tuesday and Saturdays by appointment only. Only 3 people will be allowed in the shopfront at any one time so to talk about a custom piece or any repairs, I recommend making an appointment for all days

03.01.2022 And we are open!!! It’s been a very slow start to opening here in Footscray, with a few false starts, but hopefully this it is!

02.01.2022 BUSHFIRE FUNDRAISER As I wake up this morning with the smell of smoke throughout my house, it’s a constant reminder of how lucky we are in Melbourne to have our homes, unlike may of the other Australians suffering due to the bushfires. It’s hard to think of anything else right now and whilst I’ve contributed to Celeste Barber’s amazing effort, I would like to do more. I’ve decided to start a fundraiser with 100% going to wildlife rescue organization WIRES (www.wires.org.au). I’m not encouraging anyone to come in as I don’t think of jewellery as essential (I know some would ) but I have a backlog of custom pieces to make and repairs to finish so will be in here working away anyway.
