21.01.2022 Section 8 is gonna Rock Your Ass tonight at The Tablelands Music Lovers Shed, McConaghie Street, Atherton - tonight. Frontman Glassy is a must-see!! Jake Glass and Blackstone, xS, and Snakeoyl are also playing. Gonna be a happening thing - be there or be square. Music starts at 7pm and goes until 11.30pm ..... see y'all there :)

17.01.2022 SECTION NEWS Hi Section 8-ers!! In Feb 2015, I posted that Section 8 was no more. Since then, many people have asked if the band would ever get back together (with Case being the main mover and shaker...thanks Case). Well, I am stoked to tell you that Section 8 is up and happening again and ready to rock your ass!! We have part of the original band ... Case, Frank, Hugh and yours truly and we have 2 new 8ers, Sue and Lesley, bringing their arse kicking talent to the lineu...p! We are all really excited and can't wait for you to hear Section 8 once again. We have new songs in our gig list and of course, the obscure Section 8 "love songs" like Pretty Fucked up, Last Sound etc. I can still see Glassy jumping around and Grulk having a blast, when we play them, lol. 08.01.2022 These amazing kid are SHIFT (Jack, Lisa, Zack, Lyn Sue and Piper) and they opened for Section 8 on Friday night at The Tableland Music Lovers shed. Blew our socks off with their music and vocals. Huge thanks to their music teacher, Mr. G who was on stage rocking with them. We'll definitely be hearing more from these kids! You guys rock!!!

05.01.2022 "third Fridays" just got better for rock fans in A Town..In August, the Grand plays host to local rockers, SnakeOyl, playing all original rock, and Section 8, playing some of the great rock tunes you know and love friom the 60s to the 80s.Turn up and we will turn it on.
05.01.2022 A huge thank you to Walter Noel Keid and Snakeoyl for the chance to play a gig with them at the Grand Hotel, Atherton on Friday night. Had a ball!! Loved hearing you guys do your thing. Rock rules!!
04.01.2022 It is with a very heavy heart that I have to say that Section 8 is no more. As you all know, we were dealt another devastating blow after the loss of Grulk, our bass-man two years ago, by the passing of our frontman Glassy just before Christmas. My heart breaks every time I walk into the Section 8 shed at the Pickled Liver and I don't hear either Grulk or Glassy's voices and big laughs - or Glassy calling me "Millicent". From behind my drumkit, I could always look to the r...ight and my Grulk would be making faces at me cracking me up or look to the front and see Glassy, with our backup singer, Glassy's wife Dina, by his side as he threw himself around (often to the ground) just absolutely getting into the song we were playing, lol, making everyone laugh. Everyone who visited had so many laughs at the Pickled Liver - it was a gathering place for old friends/Section 8 supporters and new friends. A special thanks to the various musos who played with Section 8 over the years is absolutely necessary - you know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We had fun, didn't we? It's just not the same now, we can't have a Section 8 that just limps on without Grulk & Glassy - Section 8 was in your face, loud and crazy. And that's how I choose to remember it :) I have yet to pack my drumkit and all the other amps, pa etc away - cos then it will hit home and I won't handle it at all well - me being such a big sook and all. But ..... Thank you all, again for your enthusiastic support of Section 8 we sure did Rock Your Ass, hey .... we couldn't have kept going without you all.
