25.01.2022 After reading and re-reading and re-reading the fine print and then interpreting and re-interpreting the meaning of the Covid-19 regulations we have been informed that The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services considers Remedial Massage and Myotherapy to be classed as Allied Health. We are therefore considered an essential service. Some of our therapists will return to work over the coming week and will be available to varying degrees. Therapists will only be avai...lable for Remedial Massage and Myotherapy treatments. RELAXATION MASSAGE IS NOT CLASSED AS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE. Due to the additional expense and time required for the thorough disinfecting of the clinic between treatments, our prices will increase during this time. It affects us in many ways, including concern for our own health, the health and welfare of loved ones and everybody’s livelihoods. Looking out for our clients and each other is what comes naturally to the team at Seddon Therapies. That’s what puts us in a great position to take the most stringent measures in decreasing the spread of dis...ease and limiting cross contamination. We developed a cold and flu policy some years ago; this has given us an excellent platform to ensure that our therapists remain as healthy as possible and continue to practice as safely as possible. Some measures we take to ensure the most hygienic conditions include: Fresh linen for every treatment. All furniture surfaces are wiped with disinfectant between each treatment. Any oil bottles, light switches, stools and tables are treated with antibacterial wipes and/or sprays after every treatment. We follow WHO handwashing procedures. We routinely turn sick clients away and cancel our own appointments if we are unwell. These are exceptional circumstances in anybody’s language. We will not charge fees for late notice cancellation due to any illness.
