24.01.2022 Late luteal phase me - my point is that in your luteal phase you're lacking in hydration in your skin which means that your appearance is that of what to expect in peri-menopause. (which is about 2 years away for me!) fine lines, deep wrinkles and some hormonal skin fun like acne and sun related conditions melasma worsen in this phase. ... as well as a very common symptom being dry and itchy skin which combines with heightened body temperate can sometimes eventuate in sleep disturbances. we're more likely to experience water weight + constipation in this phase. we're least tolerant and generally it's helpful for all parties that we vocalise our needs and set standards for receiving support at this time in our cycle. me time, take away Japanese food (the seaweed, soy, ginger, garlic, radish are all wonderfully ways to nutritionally support ourselves at this time), asking your partner or housemates to help with the chores and giving yourself lots of social + professional buffers are best practice now. if you love learning about the intricacies of your cycle and are interested in really embodying this while learning a Female-body-centred yoga + meditation practice check out our YONI YOGA Womens' Cycle Wisdom Course what phase are you in? and are any in particular your favourite to experience?
