23.01.2022 The votes are in. Planning of the walking tour of Hobart's venues is underway. We'll get a bus drop off and progress North to South. This is a preliminary list feel free to make suggestions: The Winston Republic Room for a Pony Shambles or the Warratah?... The Brunswick Vic Tav Post St. any of various sketchy finishes in Salamanca Thoughts?

21.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, In early April, CODES-TMVC and the SEG Student Chapter will be hosting Greg Corbett’s epithermal and porphyry exploration short course at UTAS. This is an opportunity you should not miss out on. The course is a distillation of many careers worth of work on porphyry-epithermal deposits, with a focus on important features found marginal to ore.... The course cost is HEAVILY discounted - students typically pay $200 to $750, others are doing well if they can attend a course for less than $1000. Kind regards, CODES SEG Student Chapter

04.01.2022 A poll of early career geologists, presented at the SEG2018 conference in Keystone, USA, suggests more than 30% are unsatisfied by the level of mentoring provided to them. Do you feel like you are adequately supported in your role as an employed geologist (or student)? Comment, or anonymously message us, on ways you think the industry can improve.
