24.01.2022 Depending on participant numbers, we use 1 - 3 building complexes located in Surfers Paradise. All are 2-bedroom/2-bathroom Apartments with similar building amenities, and all ideally located close to each other and just one block from the beach. All are walking distance to all that Surfers Paradise is famous for - cafes/restaurants, shopping and entertainment as well as a short walk to the light rail/tram that will take you on an easy commute, straight onto the Griffith Go...ld Coast campus. These are fully furnished, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments located on Laycock St, Surfers Paradise. Just a block from the beach and walking distance to all that Surfers Paradise has to offer, these gorgeous Apartments are in a complex with a pool, sauna, and tennis courts. What more could you want during your studies on the Gold Coast! Please Note: Each semester we may have different apartments, so the pictures here are 'samples' to show you the standard of the apartments in this complex.

22.01.2022 This student-only complex is ideally centrally located LaTrobe Street Melbourne with easy access to all Melbourne universities. These rooms are in high demand, and fill quickly due to the location and amenities which are second to none. With Semester in Australia - you will save over $1000 by going through SiA as well as avoid the wait-list, placed with other like-minded Study Abroad/Exchange students (who you will know before arriving in Australia), and have inclusions like unlimited internet and bedding/linens and kitchen items included. PLUS all the SiA services we are famous for, from our Arrivals Service, Welcome Drinks and on-going Semester activities!

21.01.2022 Don't forget to follow our Insta page, @semseterinaustralia and if you can't come and study in Australia (that would be sad!), you can at least see all the fun things our students get up to. Want to join them??

21.01.2022 Am I right? #studentlife

21.01.2022 We want to introduce you to an incredible organisation which started in Sydney called AIME (Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience) From their website: Building mentoring bridges between schools and universities. We believe a permanent shift in mindset can end the cycle of disadvantage. Starting from humble beginnings with 25 kids, over 10,000 high school students and 5,000 university students have now been through our program. It's the largest volunteer movement of unive...rsity students in Australian history. They also have a *deadly range of merchandise that you could take home after your time in Australia as a poignant reminder of your time in our amazing country. Apart from looking wicked, you'll be supporting the organisation with your contribution. Something to feel good about, yes? * Deadly is slang for awesome and great. At least, that's how Aboriginal people consider the word... You can check out their merch here: https://shop.aimementoring.com/ We can't think of a better gift for you to take home with you

20.01.2022 These are older homes that are so ideally located, with just a five-minute walk in one direction to campus and public transport, and five minutes in the other direction to the St Lucia Village where there is a supermarket, cafes/restaurants, Post Office and newsagent, and bottle shop. Students love living so close to campus and in a typical Aussie neighbourhood. We have four houses along this street so our students have a ready-made peer network close by! You can find out more at http://www.semesterinaustralia.com/city/brisbane/

17.01.2022 ++Frequently Asked Questions++ Will I have a single bedroom or will I have to share? Its up to you. All students have the opportunity to secure a single bedroom, although some people choose to share a room with a friend for a reduced price per person. Each student gets their own single bed. Please note: only two people who know each other and request to live with each other will have the opportunity to share a room.

16.01.2022 <> After my experience in the Gold Coast I could not be more stoked from everything that Semester In Australia provided for me. From the beginning Ann was always there to answer my every question I had to its fullest making sure I was always comfortable and confident with the upcoming journey that I had ahead of me. The program well succeeded my expectations from the start and upon my arrival I was shocked to see how nice my ap...artment was and the premier location in which I was to stay for the next 5 months. Besides school, surfing has always been a major aspect to my everyday life which made my decision easy to let Ann and her team place me in the perfect location to fulfill both the classes I was taking, while giving me the opportunity to surf multiple times a day at some of Australias and the worlds best surf breaks. Through this program I was also able to meet some of my closet friends that I still see to this day and have now visited while being back home in the states. Semester In Australia truly made my journey easy and free of any hurdles, and enabled myself to relax and enjoy this opportunity that I had been given. My only problem now is trying to figure out how to get back to Australia and continue the adventure in which I previously started. Cheers Ann, and the rest of Semester In Australia Keiffer Edmonston Keiffer, we couldn't be happier :)

14.01.2022 I love having students study in Australia - so much to see and do! But the other good thing is it brings them to another corner of the world, where they get to explore other nearby countries they may never have ventured to (New Zealand, Fiji and Indonesia to name a few!). Here is a little vid of one of our Spring 2018 students made of her trip to Bali, Indonesia.... love it! Wayan Logan

14.01.2022 My office for the day... Bali, Indonesia. While Im in Bali for a retreat, a big thank you goes out to all our amazing SiA staff who are looking after the newly arrived students, starting their studies in Australia for Semester 2! Youre going to have the time of your life!

03.01.2022 Is the *Gold Coast* where you're headed, or maybe on your maybe list? This photo may help you decide whether you should come to this beautiful, thriving city. Here's some things to know about the Gold Coast: - It's home to two universities - Griffith University and Bond University... - There's 57 km of beaches. That's 35 miles! Yep, you read that right. Beaches for days - It's Australia's sixth biggest city, and it hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2018 - The surf is world renowned, with incredible breaks at Kirra, Burliegh, Duranbar and more - It has the title of Australias most biologically diverse city, home to a whopping 1,300 animal and 1,700 plant species - It houses an international airport (Coolangatta) with full international customs ports where freight can be exported - The city has a population of around 500,000 and welcomes 13 million visitors annually. It does this by being very, very good at tourism and hospitality, punching way above its weight based on its own population - Famous for its sub-tropical climate boasting almost 300 days of warm, bright sunshine per year the Gold Coast offers year round comfort with daily temperature in the mid-20s C - that's 68 degrees Fahrenheit - The rain forests and hinterland are out of this world beautiful - The city has a real outdoor culture, with most residents enjoying daily walks/jogs/bicycle rides. It does get very humid in Summer (Dec-Jan-Feb) - The cafe and night life culture are REALLY good If you're headed to this lovely, fun, full of life city? We'd love to take care of your housing, and we're here to answer any questions we can. Email [email protected] or message us through facebook or instagram. We're here to help.
