25.01.2022 *** COVID UPDATE - South Australian travel. All people travelling from South Australia, particularly Adelaide, to NSW, including recent arrivals, are asked to monitor for even the mildest of symptoms and get tested and isolate if they appear. Advice on locations for testing clinics is available.

25.01.2022 Today is World Tourism Day and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our brilliant tourism operators and encourage people to continue to visit our State's amazing tourist attractions such as the NSW Hunter Region. The Hunter has more cellar doors than any other wine region in Australia and some of the best restaurants. It is also a great family friendly trip as well. It will take time for the tourism industry to fully recover, but we are starting to see some positive signs with Aussies beginning to travel domestically, particularly to our regions.

21.01.2022 Great news for boarding school students in term 4! You don't have to go through Sydney, you can come straight home! However there are still some students who cannot get an exemption. We will continue to advocate for a nationally consistent approach! #nobordersforboarders ICPA NSW Access to Education

20.01.2022 The Newcastle Young Parents Hub is a fantastic service that supports young women to fulfil their potential. They provide a safe place, education, mentoring and links to all the support services needed. It is a fantastic model with proven success. It was so good to meet the team and some of the young women they support.

20.01.2022 Despite what you hear, there is an amazing divergence if experience in politics. Just as true for the women in politics. This is a good overview of our many backgrounds, across all parties.

20.01.2022 Vital funding announced today by the Federal Government will allow communities right across the country to fast-track their highest-priority infrastructure projects, providing a much-needed boost to local jobs and the economy. 19.01.2022 Who wouldn’t be happy with a budget that puts the regions front and centre of our economic recovery. #budget2020

19.01.2022 I am a big supporter of regional arts so I am pleased that 21 percent of the $60 million RISE fund is going to organisations based in regional areas. The RISE program is just one part of our Government’s ongoing commitment to the Arts in Australia.

16.01.2022 After months of campaigning by Nationals Senators and MP’s, it is great news to see NSW will become the first jurisdiction to implement the Agricultural Workers Code. But now Victoria, South Australia, and the two territories must also write the code into their public health orders, as they agreed to do during National Cabinet.

15.01.2022 Early talks have begun with the construction industry, for one of the Hunter's biggest infrastructure projects! The project will also deliver around 2,700 regional jobs over the course of the project.

13.01.2022 So good to be in the Hunter with Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack to announce vital infrastructure spending. Flood mitigation of the Cessnock Road will make a huge difference for the communities of Cessnock and Maitland.

12.01.2022 Today the Federal Government made a pre-budget announcement about a bypass in Singleton, which will support 1370 direct and indirect jobs! This is further proof the Nationals in Government believe Singleton and surrounding areas are a vital component in helping the national economy recover post Covid-19. 11.01.2022 Labor has today backflipped and wants to be seen as recognising the importance of jobs in the resources sector. This is despite their long standing practice of vilifying such industries for Greens preferences. See my media release below on why it is difficult to take Labor seriously on this with no policy to back it up!
