23.01.2022 The Northern Gold Coast (NGC) Ninjas has been established after lengthy consultation with talented rugby league administrators from across the Gold Coast. The concept many years ago was to increase the pathway opportunities of talented youth in the South East of Queensland to gain exposure to the great game of rugby league in the elite QRL competition. To help realise this dream, a group of professional dynamic consortium leaders from various rugby league clubs, business and... government, have been working with a progressive local business 'Action Smart Group' to create the Ninjas Brand. With strong ambassadors of the ilk of Preston Campbell & Scott Sattler, endorsement of this proposal from countless rugby league executives, RLGC Board and the Titans, we are committed to build a state of the art sports and community club capable of funding this initiative long term. Our consortium has held preliminary meetings with the Gold Coast City Council executives about securing land in the northern gold coast to make this concept into a reality by 2021. Gold Coast City Council are progressive leaders in this space and we are excited to work alongside them and our construction partner Adco and the QRL to bring this concept to a reality! We ask that you share this post with your contacts, friends and family, to follow our NJC Ninjas journey over the coming months. We are committed to working with our local community in building not only a sports club but a centre of excellence capable of supporting other sporting groups and community in general to improve health and well-being. Our mantra is 'Don't Quit, Won't Quit!'. Stick with us and get this message to our entire community to get everyone excited and help us stimulate the local economy through generation of job creation. Get behind the mighty NGC Ninjas and let us all at this unprecedented time, support our youth in providing legitimate pathways into their future!

In negotiation with the Gold Coast Rugby League and the QRL, we will be seeking entry of a competitive QRLW team into the state league in 2021. We are currently speaking with a local, highly credentialed coach who is excited at the prospect of developing our local female athletes to be hot contenders for the Ninjas in the near future. Local Shearers women who were selected to represent the Burleigh Bears in the QRLW in 2020, Jonny Lavender and Jodeci Nicolson, are amongst plenty of other talented ladies who have the skills, tenacity and attitude to represent the Ninjas and be a highly competitive team. The NGC Ninjas are currently in the final stages of consolidating a partnership with the Ormeau Shearers and assisting the Helensvale Hornets in the formation of their inaugural A grade side in 2021. We are also in the process of preliminary discussions with some recently retired NRL players that share our collective vision in activating the northern Gold Coast rugby league community. These players are keen to work with our team in not only promoting the further development of our local A grade teams, but also imparting their skills and knowledge by joining our Academy squad. The Ninjas Academy will be instrumental in creating pathways for our junior boys and girls playing league in our community, whilst building resilience and providing our local sports stars with the skills to achieve their dreams.
