25.01.2022 This looks promising everyone

13.01.2022 Hello valued customers, Due to Covid 19 stage 4 restrictions coming into place from midnight Wednesday night, Sensible Styles Dog Grooming will be temporarily closed for a minimum of 6 weeks. After contacting the Coronavirus Business Hotline, and other authorities, it was recommended that we close our doors in accordance to the guidelines. As for tomorrow, we are fully booked and will not be taking any further bookings. Please stay tuned for updated posts.... If you have a booking between now and the 13th of September, I will contact you to reschedule. Thank you all for your ongoing support and understanding during these difficult times, please stay safe and healthy both mentally and physically. Thanking you all, Tania and Kat

12.01.2022 This was written by Andy Meddick MP As many of you will know, I have supported the government in making difficult but important evidence-based decisions, formulated on expert medical advice. If a few more weeks in stage 4 is necessary to stop the spread of coronavirus - then that's what needs to be done.... Just because I support the government’s plan in principle, doesn’t mean there aren’t areas that need tweaking, or where I disagree in detail. When these restrictions first came into place, I wrote to the government with concern that dog grooming was deemed non-essential. Now that the government has extended restrictions, I have contacted them again today to say dog grooming must be reclassified for welfare. This new length of time will be far too long for many animals. For many breeds of dogs, and even cats, grooming is vital for animal welfare reasons. Dogs that go without regular grooming can end up with painful matting, skin irritation and overgrown nails, making it difficult to walk. Just like you can leave your home to go to the vet you should be able to leave your home to go to the groomer no matter where in Victoria you live. With more Victorians taking on a companion animal than ever before, it is vital that the government ensures they can safely get the care they deserve.

11.01.2022 Hello valued customers, As we are all aware from the recent press conference from our Premier, new restrictions are now in place. As far as our business goes, we won’t find out further information until tomorrow in regards to a closure. However, as of 6pm tonight, there is a 5km radius restriction, so if you live outside the 5km radius, unfortunately you will need to cancel your appointment. Please stay tuned for further updates. If you have a booking before the 13th of Sept...ember, I will msg you to reschedule. Until then, please stay safe and healthy Kind Regards Tania and Kat

10.01.2022 To all of my valued customers, To say that we are devastated after hearing yesterday’s news in regards to businesses reopening, is an understatement We all know how important keeping our furbabies groomed is, so to not be able to reopen for another 6 weeks is horrible. I know many of you have reached out asking what the best way is to keep your furbabies as comfortable as you can until you can come to your appointments, and I’m pretty sure that I got back to all of you. So b...asically, if you are going to bath them, just try to brush and comb them as best you can (I know that many of their coats are very long, and this will prove to be difficult) most importantly, please make sure you dry them completely, otherwise they will be at risk of skin infections. Please feel free to contact me via txt, and I will call you back, I’m not answering calls at the moment, so txting is best. In regards to appointments that are in my diary from the 14th of September, because that was when I assumed we’d be opening, basically you will all be put in my diary in order of where you are, but it will simply start from the 26th of October. I WILL CONTACT YOU ALL INDIVIDUALLY IN REGARDS TO THIS. Example: if you are in on the 14th of September, you will be put in on the 26th of October and so on. I have emailed the RSPCA, and have expressed my concerns about remaining closed for another 6 weeks, and the welfare of our furbaby customers, I may not hear back from them, but at least I can say that I tried. Please be patient with me getting back to you all, I know you can all appreciate that this is a big task and I thank you all for your patience and kindness. As I said, please txt me if you have any questions at all. Please try to stay patient, support each other and most importantly, stay safe! Regards, Tania and Kat
