23.01.2022 Good morning from the Port Douglas Markets where we have for the first time our Sensitive Laundry Blend. Those of you who know me well know how sensitive my skin is and how much I love my washing machine so I decided to package up my laundry blend for those of you who can’t be bothered making it up yourselves. It’s not particularly cheap but it will last you almost twice as long as comparable weights in commercial detergents that are full of fillers and so forth. And if you read the label and are wondering what sodium percarbonate is, it’s the stuff Vanish pre-wash soaker is made from! 800g $15.00 and 2kg $30.00 in lovely refillable canisters. Refills will be available soon.

19.01.2022 As you might have read earlier, we've had some website issues. These have thankfully been resolved. HOWEVER, the migration of the website resulted in email issues, which we weren't aware of until a customer informed us. We're now migrating the email hosting to a site independent of our web hosting. This may take a few days, so please bear with us while we navigate through this very frustrating time. Thank you

18.01.2022 Our website is an absolute nightmare at the moment Our wonderful tech guy is working his butt off, but it keeps crashing on him. In the meantime if anyone was to order, you can order through here, send an email to [email protected] or phone Meryl directly on 0488 119 884. So sorry for any inconvenience

17.01.2022 This post is for those of you who have placed an overseas order with us we’d like to give you an update on where your order is at, as we’re sure you’re wondering where it is. So are we! Since COVID-19 came about we have been monitoring the international delivery restrictions put in place by Australia Post. Early on they suspended all economy air international delivery services to all countries, and unfortunately have not yet lifted these restrictions (we don’t think, it’s ...a bit confusing). We’ve contacted Australia Post a few times and were told standard tracked airmail parcels could now be sent, but it appears that international air delivery services are still suspended and that only sea delivery services are available, which would take 2 to 3 months or more for any parcels to arrive anywhere. We think this is unreasonable. The Australia Post website also makes little sense with new and old information mixed together, with one paragraph saying all services are available, and the next paragraph saying they’re suspended. It’s confusing as all get-out. We understand that this is just as frustrating for you as it is for us, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. We will keep you updated and let you know once we have definitive information of where your orders are, which hopefully won’t be too long! See more

10.01.2022 I've had many requests over the past few months for Emu Oil, so as from tomorrow we'll now be stocking Pure Australian Emu Oil at our market stall in Port Douglas. For those who wish to purchase through the website, it'll be up there soon too.

10.01.2022 Facebook keeps reminding me that I haven't posted for a while. This is true, but in my defense I haven't had any exciting news. So! In order to keep Facebook happy, and to impart some "wisdom", here's today's hint for a healthy scalp - particularly if you're like me and prone to eczema breakouts and an all-round dry, itchy scalp. This is what you use! You may remember your grandfather, father or your local barber using it. It's the tried and trusted Nu Brush. The simple l...ittle plastic brush that you use to massage your scalp to loosen dry skin particles, invigorate your scalp and get the blood flowing. I use it (fairly vigorously because I have super short hair) daily just as I hop in the shower. If you have longer hair, just massage a section at a time until you've covered the affected areas. There are far more expensive similar products out there, but this little gem comes at a cost of around $4.00. And it works! I will have a supply of them on the website and at the Port Douglas market soon. Or you can find them on eBay, at barber shops etc. You just have to look!

08.01.2022 Clean Hands Natural Hand Sanitiser with Aloe Vera Gel is a recipe I've been making primarily for family. However, with the panic buying surrounding the Coronavirus, I thought I'd offer it to my customers as well. It comes in a convenient carry-round 75ml flip-top tube that can easily have a carabiner attached if you so desire. Made with Aloe Vera Gel, Witch Hazel, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil and Vitamin E. It's non-greasy and non-sticky and, as with most of my products, you only need a small amount. It's now available from the website and from the market stall at Port Douglas. Be aware though, that there is only a limited quantity available. Priced at $10.00 it's not cheap, but it is good.

07.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! We're only 6 sleeps away from our 4 weeks vacation in Bali, so if you're in the Cairns area and need to top up on goodies, this Sundays market at Port Douglas is our last until 16th December. If you're thinking about ordering on the website, you have until Tuesday 12th November to get your order in. Someone will be monitoring the website for orders while we're away, but we won't be able to post anything until our return.

06.01.2022 Eco-friendly solid conditioner bars are gaining popularity due to their environmental and economic benefits. They require little to no packaging and are fabulous when travelling as there is no risk of leaking and they don't take up much space. So, here it is! Solid Conditioner Bar (with Argan Oil, Abyssinian Oil and Pro-Vitamin B5). It's now live on the website, and I'll have a small supply with me at the Port Douglas market tomorrow. It sells for $19.00 and should last for quite a while. Why not try it with our Shampoo Bar and do the planet a favour

02.01.2022 It appears there are some hosting issues with the website today, and for that we apologise. We’ve been assured that the issue is being handled by our website developer. Fingers crossed and again, apologies. If I knew how to fix it, believe me I would! It appears there are some hosting issues with the website today, and for that we apologise. 01.01.2022 Finally! The website's back up - with some small visual differences, but running like a website should. Phew! Thanks to the amazing Rob from Nimble Nerds for his patience and perseverance with an extremely annoying problem
