25.01.2022 Awwwwww look what’s new around the farm No idea where this momma hid her nest but 21 ducklings is a bit of an overachievement lol

23.01.2022 Look how confident they are in the big dam already

22.01.2022 Mmmmm starting to wonder if cats are just being dumped out here ... (We are 20min out of closest town and neighbors aren’t cat people) Last night we spotted another black cat in our paddock, tonight a whiteish one (couldn’t catch either but going to see council about traps this week!

21.01.2022 Not ours just sharing

21.01.2022 2 days ago their mum was found dead and her eggs cold so we left them not having any hope of them hatching but today they started hatching - I don’t know how they survived going cold then 2 nights of no mummy duck sitting on them but here they are giving it a red hot go! All are now out of their eggs and fluffing up as we speak- update pics tomorrow.

21.01.2022 Urgent home required for 2 fully grown female pigs. They are very friendly girls. We are seeking experienced pig owners who have the necessary space and skill... to keep these girls safe. They are pets not meat ! Email [email protected] if you can help (Photo not actual pig, just for illustration)

19.01.2022 It’s been an action packed day today- this little man came into the world and he and his mum will be heading back home to veterans retreat so you can follow them to watch him grow

19.01.2022 Our VIP visitor thismorning- Fraser Coast mayor George Seymour

19.01.2022 A few days ago we were driving down our rd and saw this momma cat walking her black kitten across the road and into the bush- she was growling and hissing at us but I managed to grab the baby which later was helpful in the catching of the mum who took a while to trust me enough to pick her up . We searched all around for more babies but found nothing..... 2 days later while filling up waters we could hear a kitten crying in our shed and there we found the grey baby , we don’t know how it got there as it’s a long distance from where mum and first Bub were found but maybe we interrupted mum moving her kittens to our shed obviously we have not stopped looking and listening out for more babies. Mum and 2 bubs have stopped hissing finally and getting more human friendly

18.01.2022 Time and time again our car suffers for the rescue- we have our second flat tyre for the week, it needs new shocks etc etc etc it becomes overwhelming and very expensive when we think about it all but this week 14 lives were saved so it makes it all worth while especially when u see these grateful faces . Sadly though We have had to cancel Fraser Coast pound pickup of 3 roosters until the car is fixed so if anyone is coming from that way that could pick them up for us we would be soo grateful as would they .

16.01.2022 A CHRISTMAS CALL FOR HELP To our loyal and amazing army of supporters, we must call on you yet again... We have several dogs in need right now. They need c...arers, we need you. We literally are at current capacity coming up to Christmas . This is the lead up to peak surrender and dumping season for animals and we are scared because at this rate, we will have to turn dogs away. Please if you are home these holidays, open your home to a foster. All food, preventatives and vet work are covered by the rescue. We just need your time, home and love. Secondly, we have several severe medical cases right now costing us thousands of dollars a day. We need donations to keep helping these dogs pull through. We are the last resort for many, like our sweet Yera pictured below, whom has been fighting for her life for the last 72 hrs. Yera shouldn't have been here, a simple preventative by her surrendering owners could have saved her this struggle. But they did not. Now all Yera has is us. Will you help us continue fighting for Yera and the many others like her we will have to tend to over the "festive" season.

07.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder- if you organise to drop roosters off at a set time and cannot make it please let us know more than half an hour before set time as we are sitting waiting for you to show up and don’t get reception at the sheds. It is frustrating and wastes our time especially when you don’t let us know until we have already been waiting and have to drive to reception to ask u if your still coming. Please be more considerate,Thanku

02.01.2022 BOTH REUNITED FOUND - DOGS X 2 - WOLVI - GYMPIE REGION - 6.12.20 Two female staffs have turned up on our farm this morning. One is older with hair missing... off their tail and is slightly injured (I’d say from running a long way). The other looks like she’s had pups a while ago or maybe early pregnant about 3-5? Not sure. I have posted on our local Wolvi page but no one has responded yet. There are no collars. We are happy to hold them for a day or two and then we will take them to RSPCA. Proof of ownership is required. Contact https://business.facebook.com/hanna.millard Admin https://business.facebook.com/qlpr.gympieregion/inbox/ (Jenny)
