22.01.2022 It was a great weekend out on the water with the Balmoral unit participating in two different different regional courses. Rocklands on Saturday and Hamilton Sunday. Thank you to the training team and volunteers from the Balmoral, Hamilton, Dartmoor and Warnambool units for coming out and sharing their expertise.

19.01.2022 Looking forward to our upcoming deckhand courses to put our new boats through their paces.

15.01.2022 Storms can happen anytime, even when the weather is warming up. Before a storm hits, make sure your property is prepared.

14.01.2022 Your Family Our Family This weekend we’re celebrating the Your Family Our Family, to say thanks to the incredible family and friends of our volunteers. They may not wear the orange uniform, but their sacrifices are just as important. If you or someone you know supports our volunteers, thank you! #YourFamilyOurFamily

13.01.2022 Lest we forget.

13.01.2022 Only a few days into Movember and some of our SES fleet are already sporting some pretty impressive facial hair!

12.01.2022 One of the reasons we advise you don’t drive, walk or ride through floodwaters is because you can’t see what’s occurring underneath the surface. Here’s a good e...xample of what we mean. This is the Strzelecki Track, a popular route for outback travellers in South Australia. This damage to the road occurred due to the rain and floods up north. So, next time you’re driving and the road is flooded, don’t risk itturn around and find another way or wait for another time to cross. For more tips on how to be prepared for floods, visit our website. https://www.ses.sa.gov.au/site/flood.jsp Photos: SA Infrastructure and Transport

09.01.2022 Plan to stay dry: Bag it, Block it, Lift it and Leave Know what to do if your home is being threatened by major flooding via our 'Bag it, Block it, Lift it and Leave' campaign: Bag it - by laying sandbags where water may get into your home.... Block it - by covering your toilet and drains to prevent back-flow Lift-it and Leave - by shifting valuables onto tables and benchtops, and leaving early to a family or friends house on higher ground (which is still ok to do in-line with COVID-19 restrictions). 02.01.2022 Family and friends play a critical support role for our volunteers. Whether it’s picking up the kids from school, heating up dinner, or being there for a hug after a long day your support means everything to us. This weekend on 14-15 November, we’re celebrating all the families and friends that support our volunteers to do what they do. Because at VICSES, we’re all family. #YourFamilyOurFamily
