20.01.2022 hIn her book ‘Phosphorescence’, Julia Baird writes about the value of experience. In one case, she writes, people who spent time staring up at towering eucalypts were more inclined to help someone who had stumbled and dropped a handful of pens than those who had not. In other words, when dwarfed by an experience, we are more likely to look to one another and care for one another and feel more connected. 13.01.2022 Lifeline Tasmania has been operating in Tasmania since the 1973 and continues to provide major support during this trying time. They're on a mission to deliver programs and services that save lives, and to ultimately see a suicide-free Tasmania. But such a pursuit would not be possible without their team of dedicated staff and over 400 volunteers... "Our volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and play a vital role in suicide awareness and prevention throughout ...Tasmania." - Lifeline Tasmania Representative This is why we're especially delighted to have their continued support this year in the Emergency Services Volunteer Award Category. https://www.volunteeringtas.org.au/2020-awards-emergency-s/
