24.01.2022 8649 UPDATE New floor tiles are currently being installed in 8649, with one cab now complete! Still remaining to be done, is the floor tiles in the other cab, and the refitting of the crew seating in both cabs once the floor tiles are completed. The new floor tiles certainly lift the presentation of the cab considerably! Just like new!... Photo supplied by Progress Rail Werris Creek

13.01.2022 Would you like to see an electric locomotive operating in it's stunning original 80's colours? Well here is your chance to assist us to make it happen! We are launching a crowdfunding campaign, with the aim of raising enough funds to cover both the preparation and then repainting of our electric locomotive 8649 into the heritage "Candy" livery! The quicker that we achieve our fundraiser target, the sooner we can arrange for the works to be completed. This includes a possibili...ty to relaunch the locomotive fully repainted, should the target be reached in a short enough timeframe! You can assist us in at least two ways to achieve our goal. The first is to make your donation (more than one donation can be made during the campaign). The other is to help us share this post amongst your families, friends and work colleagues as a way to spread the word about this exciting project! https://gf.me/u/ym6qd3
