22.01.2022 Well off on a Country run this weekend, workshops at Maryborough Saturday, Rainbow on Monday and Warracknabeal on Tuesday so that will keep me out of mischief.

21.01.2022 Following on using light coloured fabrics, when choosing your pattern, don't choose a pattern with lot's of seams, as you will see these seams and they will give a shadow effect.

18.01.2022 Spring is fast approaching when considering sewing white, sheer or light coloured fabric, it is important to start with a clean working area and make sure your Sewing Machine and tools are clean. Your sewing machine should be lint free and no oil residue and always make sure your marking pen or pencil can be removed. It is good to use a pressing cloth then you can't leave a scorch mark. Put in a new needle and sew test on the fabric and away you go. Happy sewing

15.01.2022 The Kids Can Sew Group at Beaufort is still going well there are 20 Kids and now have 12 adult helpers from the community isn't this great.

15.01.2022 Back from the country run, you should see the mice plague mice everywhere in homes and because it is planting time they want to eat all the seed. Glad to be back as far as that is concerned I am not a great mice lover.

12.01.2022 Hello everyone we have been very busy and therefore very slack. Since we have had all this cold weather I hope everyone is sewing madly please let us know what you have been doing and share your projects.

11.01.2022 We are very busy making new samples for the Royal Melbourne Show where we will have a stand in the Art & Craft Pavillion, closer to the show we will tell you what's happening you might like to come out and see. I'm sure you will find it interesting.

10.01.2022 On Monday I was judging a quilt competition for Assoc. of Neighborough Houses and Learning Centres The competition was a wall hanging 1mt. x 1mt approx. depicting your community. The standard was amazing and it was very hard to pick the winners and we had an under 18 group as well and the boys and girls from Orbost Neighborough House won. I am so pleased that so many young people are sewing.

04.01.2022 OK been very slack again, to let you know about the Royal Melbourne Show on Monday 26th September we have orgainized a showcase in the Art & Craft Centre to show you our up and coming designers from the Gordon Institute they will put on a parade of their garments at 10.30 am so if you are interested in fashion please come along and support these young designers.
