24.01.2022 G’day legends Just wanted to share this little pearler of the ACT branch Secretary, Gordon and VP, Jerry, supporting Matthew Stadtmiller at Yass yesterday. Gordon is a powerhouse for our branch, not only did this fella do the hard yards for the ACT membership drive, he has gotten the branch registered. Add to that, he has spent the past two weeks at the pre-polls in support of Matt. Massive thanks, to both Gordon and Jerry for their dedication. 24.01.2022 G’day legends. What a day! Quiet at the polling booths all round however, with a very cool crew across all the parties, we had a great day. Lots of camaraderie, support and laughter even the one aggressive loonie throwing his weight around we had a ball. I’m sure it’ll be trending on twitter soon. Thanks to the SFFP fellas down from the big smoke and props to our team in Bombala, you made the day even better. 23.01.2022 Hey Legends A little article today care of The RiotACT. A decent article about the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party registering an ACT branch. Whilst it won't change the opinion of the haters, there will always be the keyboard warriors mouthing off rather than contributing to the betterment of government with a constructive and proactive solution (like joining a party or running themselves!!). They are the kinds of people that will give us hell about preferences, even tho...ugh it's clear they don't understand how preferences work. (here's a hint: forget preference deals- parties cannot direct preferences. It is YOUR numbers on the ballot paper, every number that YOU write that matters!). We are a good bunch of people. We care. We will differ in opinion. I want to ask you, do you agree with everything your partner believes? Your parent's perspective? Your boss's views? Hell NO! So, why do so many people get bent out of shape when a politician or candidate has an opposing view? We aren't going to agree on everything, people! To our unwavering supporters, thank you! To those joining the fold, thank you! And to those representing SFF and fighting for our way of life every day, keep up the good work. Maybe you're still on the fence, so I'll just leave this here: We’re far off reaching our full potential. We’re still growing, still a minor party and we’ll make mistakes but we’ll learn from those, and never sell out our constituency or the people we purport to represent, which is a hell of a lot more than the major parties can say. 23.01.2022 Thanks to Firearm Owners United for this insightful update. The ACT is well overdue for change and the smaller parties are EXACTLY how to bring it. The majors are out of touch, too comfortable with their own rhetoric and really don’t represent the community on the whole. Remember, you’re not going to agree with everything or everyone, but YOU can make a difference - who you vote 1 for and where you preference (e.g. where you number your subsequent votes). We will fight for greater access to public lands for recreational hunters to hunt pests and vermin safely on the ground rather than indiscriminate aerial baiting.... 21.01.2022 We want Canberrans to have more access to National parks. They are our asset and we should be able to recreate in them. We are fighting against the Green ideology of Lock it and leave it we are the Bush Capital so we should be able to use our national parks for what they were intended for.
