19.01.2022 To all our valued patrons & friends of Shangri-La Gardens, we wanted to personally let you know of changes we are planning to our food and beverage operations. We will be making these permanent changes as trading restrictions imposed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic start to be lifted. During the pandemic-related closure of Sylvia’s Restaurant and our Function Centre, we completed a review of the overall operations of Shangri-La Gardens.... That review, which considered past and forecast economic and trading conditions and demand, determined that we will not be reopening the restaurant’s public operations and we will focus our function activities on corporate events. Our motel operations will continue with our existing restaurant kitchen servicing in house guests only. We are currently considering offering pre-arranged dinner parties in our boardroom for 10 people and details of these will be available to you in the very near future. We are sorry for having to make these unavoidable changes to our business, but prospective trading conditions do not give us the confidence we need to continue operating as we have done in the past. The industry in which Shangri-La Gardens operates has always been very dynamic and from the beginning our business like others has had to adapt to shifting consumer demands and challenging economic conditions. As you would be aware, the extraordinary and historic changes all of us have faced during the current pandemic response mean nobody can take a business as usual approach after restrictions ease. We know this may be disappointing to you and many others who have supported us over a long period of time. We thank you for your previous support and patronage and we will of course continue to welcome you at Shangri-La Gardens when you have occasion to visit.

We also have bookings available for our boardroom dinners. Just gather 10 friends & book for a special night of food, wine & fun. Call us for details & menus.

11.01.2022 Just an update to let you know Shangri La Gardens function centre & Sylvia's Restaurant will be closed until further notice. The motel will remain open for those that may need accommodation for family members or friends. We are happy to offer a direct booking rate of $150.00 per room per night at this time. Please phone us on 33085100 to take advantage of this offer. The offer is not available online & is for direct bookings only. As noted above, the restaurant is closed for both breakfast & dinner, however we will provide a continental breakfast pack in the motel rooms. This enduring value guides us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a pandemic on Wednesday March 11th, 2020. Our hearts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments aro...und the world who are on the front line working to contain this virus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy stay at our property. We recognize that the COVID-19 virus has required all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities. Shangri La Gardens is working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance from WHO on hygiene and cleaning. Sylvia’s restaurant remains open for dinner from 5.30pm Monday to Friday, for advance bookings only. The motel remains open, however Sylvia’s will not be open for breakfast.
