24.01.2022 So excited to try squeeze this book in between life, study and family!! If you have not yet heard or seen anything of Dr Gabor Mate’ I’d say Why not!? Dr Gabor has gained international recognition as he educates the world on the research and evidence he has that the illnesses, diagnosis etc are not simply a result of biological issues, rather that we are biological, psychological, social and spiritual beings.... Dr Gabor states that instead of being asked by the physician what’s wrong with you the question needs to be what has happened in your life! ADHD, addiction..... seriously jump on you tube and be open and ready to experience a sense of understanding how we and our bodies work beyond what we have believed to be truth before.

21.01.2022 Here are some great tips and some scientific reasons for encouraging our teens to wait till there atleast 18 before they expose themselves to and try smoking, drugs or alcohol!! It’s not easy but it’s worth everything to try.

17.01.2022 I Love the concept of ‘genius’ but not in the way we use it in modern English, in its original definition- Latin, ‘attendant spirit present from one's birth, innate ability or inclination’, from the root of gignere ‘beget’. The original sense ‘spirit attendant on a person’ gave rise to a sense ‘a person's characteristic disposition’ Imagine what our lives would look like if we were able to embrace the divine, the spirit gift of genius that is woven into the tapestry of our ve...ry DNA, for purpose, for our time on earth! If only we were able to be still, to silence the ‘noise’ all around us and discover this beautiful gift. What, how would it impact and influence not only our life but the world it was brought into for this time. I’m so excited to share, encourage and challenge the teen boys in our Virtual Mentor Program over the coming weeks with the idea of their unique genius.
15.01.2022 I was in a meeting with other men and women today- a limited gathering of faith. It was whilst we were together that I heard 2 of the 4 men ( although I could have added myself to the number) express how they tend to often choose to remain isolated even when there are other men who they could hang with. I was reflecting on this and sharing with my wife on the drive home and reminded that I have a small circle of really close men whom I openly share with and even let them kno...w I love them.... it’s so important for us men to allow this to happen and to express ourselves. 12.01.2022 I recently visited Cape York and from the river I noticed this incredible tree. Perhaps you can find inspiration in it as I have. Although it’s foundations have fallen away it is able to hang on against all odds. We too can survive and thrive against the shifting sands of life!
11.01.2022 It’s not only important to ask this question but to also consider how you can then support your mate when they need you! Here’s some tips: -ask them how they are doing , then ask them again to really check -in! - just listen, we don’t need to have all the answers but we do need to have a heart and desire to truly hear them.... - let them know you are always there for them and nothing is out of the question to support them. - know your limits and direct them towards professional help when it’s necessary. Offer to help them to get it if they don’t feel they can do it alone. - be empathic. Imagine you were walking in their shoes and don’t judge. 09.01.2022 Love is only love when we get to share it...and the love that comes from being a father for my children is the most precious gift I have to give! Forever grateful and aware of the gift and responsibility I have towards my children to love them, guide them, laugh and share with them. Grateful for my late father and that he knew it too.... 04.01.2022 So many emotions around the story ‘To kill a mockingbird!’ I have just watched this again for the first time in 35 years (since I was in school and required it!!) Now by choice I watch this with open eyes and a heart to feel and ears to hear.... Set in Alabama in 1932 yet present worldwide in 2020???? What is my part in this? How am I implicated in this? How can my Life bring some freedom to the marginalised?? A couple of beautiful take away quotes for me from this.. Atticus said You never really knew a man till you stood in his shoes and walked around in them! He also reminded us that according to the law All men (women) were created equal! I stand with you Atticus and long to be part of building into justice where love is the highest law.
