25.01.2022 I am so choosing to see the good in all challenges at the moment. . I certainly don't always find it easy to do so, but from all the #brenebrown books I have read now - it's hard not to get influenced positively and I really do think that all people are trying their best. Because we all do in our own way. It might not all be the same, but it's our best we can at that present time.

And I almost can’t believe they are here, like are they really??... We have been working on this for for long and can’t wait to start sending these out to everyone! . PS. 23.01.2022 If u had to define BRAVERY - what does it sound like to u? Please I want to know, commen below . . To me bravery is when I stand up for my own personal boundaries by taking time to myself. And also when I go up to a complete stranger and ask if they need a hand lifting up their pram into their car or even talking to a stranger in a cafe. It’s the smaller things that make a big difference. Like also when I admit a mistake and make amends with my ki...ds from having yelled at them. For taking a deep breaths and letting it go when my grumpiness starts taking over when really deep down inside, I know my husband is also trying his best. . And last but not least, bravery to me is standing up for myself and others by speaking up for what we believe in. . . 18.01.2022 Being part of the Pink Polar Committee in 2013 and organising a charity ball and making it one of my proudest moments of my life so far when we raised $85,000 for the McGrath Foundation is an understatement. We had never organised a charity event before, never held auctions, never seeked sponsorships, never modelled, so many never hads..... but one thing I know for sure was that we worked our butts of for months (hackled and negotiates Generel Managers until they gave in Karla Simpson Simpson ) but it really proved so strongly that it u work hard enough for something with a purpose bigger than yourself you will always keep going and striving bigger and bigger. Thank u to everyone making this possible and for believing in us.

09.01.2022 When was a time u wish u had of been kinder to someone? . . As u all know I have been reading so many @brenebrown books and that I am all into talking about hard things and things that we don’t often talk about. So instead of just writing about a time when I was kind and how much fun and how good I felt being this, let me tell u about an unkind reflection of something I did today (because let’s be honest we aren’t always kind, even though we try ou...r best). . . I got on the phone to my phone company (no names mentioned) and straight away when I was misunderstood, I snapped straight away. From nowhere I got so frustrated and I was extremely rude on the phone. I wasn’t yelling or anything but I spoke to him in a very frustrated tone. . When I had a moment of clarity and I came to terms with what I’d just done (ie the awareness had kicked in, better late then never...)- I decided to rumble and really get raw and honest and I did what I never would have normally done - I APOLOGISED and told him I was ashamed of my own behaviour and how he didn’t deserve to be treated disrespectfully. And man, let me tell u how much he appreciated it and truthfully, I felt so much better for it... . . 3 years ago I think I’d uttered the words I’m sorry maybe a handful of times in my lifetime. I’ve never been the one to be vulnerable and admitting mistakes.. . . So, I am sorry for not always being kind, but please know I am doing my best and if we can own up to what’s hard we can lead the way for a much kinder tomorrow. . Tess x . . See more
