23.01.2022 Congrats to the Nth Qld Cyclones B18s, who have taken out the NYC with an exciting 10-8 victory over CQ; and congrats to all the Sharkies involved in both the Junior & Youth Championships - be it as player, coach, manager or referee!

23.01.2022 Well done to ALL our Sharkie Junior teams on a fantastic TJT season. We trust those that have now finished had a lot of fun; and of course we wish those still playing all the best in coming weeks. Please note that all teams in the Development Divisions will play another round game this week, and then the top 2 teams will progress through to the Grand Final. Divisions with two pools will play a cross-over semi final series for the top two teams in each pool; other divisions wi...ll be top four; and of course our U7 & U8 teams will play through til and including Grand Final night on Friday 4th December. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all players, coaches, managers, referees, and parents for your support and understanding in what has been an 'unusual' season and look fwd to seeing you all back in the blue & black next season. All going to plan in 2021, we'll start taking junior registrations in early/mid July - please stay tuned to our Facebook page. Final reminder that our Junior Presentations will take place on Saturday 5th December at Kirwan Aquatic Centre commencing at 4pm; and with split group timings. Please see 'Event' for more details. 23.01.2022 JUNIOR COACHES Reminder to all aspiring junior coaches that (by law) you require a Blue Card in order to coach a Junior Team. Please go to https://my.bluecard.qld.gov.au to apply/renew online. You will receive an account number - please email this (& your DOB) to the club so we may officially link you to our organisation. Please wait until you have been linked before "applying" for your Card so they know you are a volunteer and eligible to have the application fee wa...ived (you'll receive an email when this happens). For those with an existing card (including Exemption Card), we need you to send us your card details at earliest opportunity - noting all card holders will be required to transition to the online system at earliest opportunity. All coaches are also required to register with Sharks through MySideline. Please do this ASAP.

19.01.2022 PLAYING UNIFORMS! ********************** Please collect all playing tops from the Vigoro building TONIGHT: TUESDAY 6th Oct, between 5.30 - 7.00pm. We have quite a few still to give out (despite being available for weeks) so we thank you in advance for your patience & understanding. NB: Playing tops are the same as last year - they wont change until season 2022; please be advised we are still awaiting some smaller sizes. Pants may be any brand as long as predominantly black.... We hope to have all players in a Sharks shirt for games this Thurs/Fri - we think you'll agree they look schmick! NOTE: Playing strips will NOT be available on game nights. For those few teams training on Wednesday, you'll need get someone to come and collect your tops as applicable.

The two sides represent the stereotypical youth v experience sectors of the club with the M4 containing a host of ‘experienced’ players versus the youth and rising talents in the W6 outfit. 14.01.2022 As we enter into the finals series; often as coaches / players / managers / parents, we get a little more passionate than usual, which sometimes results in inappropriate behavior towards officials! Sharks would like to take this opportunity to remind our members that as a club; and within the Association, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE stance on any abusive behaviour! To date, our sportsmanship, on and off the field, has been impeccable, and we’d like to think that as a club ...we will continue this into the TJT Finals series. It’s been an ‘abnormal’ season in so many ways - yet the one constant has been seeing our juniors enjoy this great sport, surrounded by supportive and positive adult influence. Let’s keep that up!! The club has a Code of Conduct (available on our website) and we encourage all our members to acquaint themselves with this heading into the next 2 weeks. Please do this ASAP so we can officially allocate you to a team (and thus be allowed in the sub-box). All coaches also need to be accredited at earliest opportunity. There are a number of online modules to be completed before attending the face-to-face workshop on Oct 17th. 08.01.2022 Sharks are now calling for EOIs from suitably accredited and keen coaches for all our 2021 (senior winter season) teams. Please email specifics to the club on [email protected] Applications for Div 1&2 coaches will close COB this Friday 8th Jan, with others open until the following Friday. Appointments will be advised at earliest opportunity thereafter. Information pertaining to player registrations and training start dates will be advised shortly. ... SHARKS: Good Times; Great Touch!

08.01.2022 Please note that there is no ‘official’ club training this week - unless advised by respective coaches. The club rooms will not be open, gear will not be available, and uniforms will not be available to collect until next week, Tuesday 6th. If you purchased a playing top, please see us next week as there is still a lot of players that haven’t collected them. Players with outstanding fees also need to pay asap. The TJT season commences Thursday 8th (13-16yr olds) and Friday 9th (6-12yr olds) - we’ll post the draw as soon as received.
