Family photos are so important - this session (complete with 16 family members) took us a little over 2 hours to shoot and these images will be cherished keepsakes for this amazing family! 19.01.2022 Notice to all SDP clients, families and friends ; Due to the current situation, I have made the decision to temporarily stop all photo shoots until the government and health experts indicate it’s safe to resume to normal. I will be in regular contact with all my clients and will work together to ensure bookings are rescheduled.... 80 percent of my wedding bookings have been rescheduled and my brides and grooms have been reassured that I am here for them and I will move heaven and earth to document their day. We just have to be realistic about the current situation and the dangers we Face if we ignore the warnings and restrictions which have been put in place to protect us! I am confident this situation will improve and we will be back to normal again and I have faith that our Government is doing the right thing to eradicate this virus and ensure the safety of our communities. 16.01.2022 Yesterday was my ‘21st’... my 21st year of being a sworn & operational police officer! I’ve wanted to be a ‘copper’ since I was about 7 years old and I’ve told my story multiple times about the day a big burley male sergeant and petite female officer (complete with high heels and stockings) visited my school to give a safety house talk to my unsuspecting peers.. ... For those I haven’t told this story to before... I remember sitting on the story-time at school rug and looking up at this sergeant in awe, with his shiny silver badge number pinned to his chest, his gun on his hip, his leather utility belt, and his shiny boots.. I feared him but listened eagerly as he taught us tiny kids about the dangers of accepting lifts from strangers and how to identify a safety house symbol. I knew that day that I wanted to be just like him. I remember I went home and told my mum I wanted to be a policeman Now....All these years later, I wish I could meet that sergeant, shake his hand and tell him just how much he inspired me to be the person I am today... Every day when my school bus passed the Granville Police station in Sydney, I’d reminisce and think about myself walking the beat and wearing that blue uniform with pride... Even at that very young age I knew what I wanted & I don’t regret ever joining ‘the job’ This guy here in the photo is my beautiful dad.. He, my mum and my grandparents were my number one supporters and they constantly encouraged me to chase my dreams.. and chased them I did!! Dad passed away unexpectedly just 3 months after this photo was taken. It’s mine (& I’m sure his) proudest moment and I’m so grateful we were able to share this moment. It was just after I signed my oath of service and was sworn in as a police officer I hope you are proud of me daddy-oh. We hiked around their family farm for a couple fo hours in the beautiful afternoon light to capture beautiful images like this one and they were just awesome! Every single one of these guys just did what I asked, the older kids helped the little kids with climbing and posing and behaving and this here is one of the many hundreds of images we were able to capture! ... I know I’ve said it before but geez I love what I do! Every day we go to work and put on our uniforms without a second thought to what might happen on that shift - all in the name of serving and protecting our communities. . 09.01.2022 To say that I’m feeling incredibly blessed is an understatement. I do what I do because I love it... (and these pictures are an example of why!!) .
