04.01.2022 Urgent update for Melbourne businesses and workers - the Victorian Government has published the required template for issuing Worker Permits. From 11.59pm Wed 5 August, all workers who are in permitted industries and who are permitted to travel for their work must carry a Worker Permit or else penalties apply. Even higher penalties of up to $19,826 (for individuals) and $99,132 (for businesses) also apply if a Worker Permit is issued for an unlawful reason. Employers should be very careful about issuing these Permits. The template is available here: https://www.justice.vic.gov.au/permitted-worker-scheme
