24.01.2022 I kept my horse We rode many miles, won many shows, and we spent hundreds of hours side by side. Now you’re old, you’re retired, and you’re my old man. ... I kept my horse when he went lame- every damn time. I kept my horse when I fell off - it wasn’t his fault anyways. I kept my horse when I thought it shouldn’t be this hard- I didn’t know that’s how I would learn. I kept my horse when he told me he couldn’t be ridden anymore - because I know compassion. I kept my horse when I was broke- because sometimes times are tough. I kept my horse when he couldn’t stop hard and spin fast because I could see that he still would try If I asked but he shouldn’t. I kept my horse when I bought a new one- 3 actually, because he’s irreplaceable. I kept my horse when I wished I had room for one that was sound- because I owe it to him. I kept my horse when he was costing me more money to feed then any of my riding horses, because money isn’t everything. When his legs had enough- and all he could bare to carry was his own weight, I still kept my horse. When his career as a riding horse was over- I knew I had to keep my horse. No one owes this horse a retirement except for me, and shame on anyone who selfishly convinces themselves otherwise. I owe him so much more for what he has done for me, but I plan to try and make it up to him when he has nothing more to offer me. Because that’s how it should be be
23.01.2022 One of my least favourite jobs is rolling bandages but there’s something satisfying about watching bandages getting rolled on a time laps!!! If only it actually took me the 27 seconds this video goes for!!!

20.01.2022 EVENTING | The inspiring story of the pioneers of Australian Eventing and their journey to compete at the 1956 Olympic Games, followed by their triumph in 1960,... is the stuff of legend. We love this video made by Sydney 3DE which tells the remarkable beginnings of Australian Eventing featuring interviews with the late Bunty Thompson and Neale Lavis as well as Wayne Roycroft. #equestrian #horses #TeamAUS #team #WeRideAsOne #RideWithUs #highperformance #ausequestrianteam #positivemindset #preaparingfortokyo #history #eventing #olympic #champions #whereitallbegan #australianequestrianteam Equestrian NSW Equestrian South Australia Inc Equestrian Queensland Equestrian Victoria Equestrian Tasmania Equestrian Northern Territory Equestrian Western Australia Eventing NSW Equestrian Victoria- Eventing Eventing Queensland Equestrian SA Eventing Australian Olympic Team

09.01.2022 SOLD 14.3hh 7 year old warmblood cross welsh cob. Pony is an extremely talented little horse that has everything in him to compete at the top levels. Schooling over 1.15m he has really proven that he is a gifted little horse, he is very brave and a real point and shoot horse,He has been out to a handful of ODEs where he has always placed as well as many outings to showjumping comps, pony club, beach rides, trails, lessons and clinics. He is a talented jumper but would also be ...very competitive in the show and dressage ring. He is a sensitive horse so needs an experienced rider but is very honest and genuine. Very easy to handle on the ground and has always been 100% sound. He will only be sold if I can find the perfect home for him, only on the market as I just don’t have the time to compete him and would hate to see him waist. Located Boonah, QLD. $20,000 Jumping video- https://youtu.be/3xh05jKX8KI Dressage video- https://youtu.be/HvIfNvP5Y54
08.01.2022 Here’s the last few minutes of my float load training session with felicity this afternoon. Felicity hasn’t been on the float all the much and is quite nervous about it all and then her nerves turn into stubbornness! At the start of our training session today she was ok with having her two front feet on the float but if I asked for any more she would either hit the breaks and not move or just try to turn away and run away from the scary horse eating float! And if I was able... to get her onto the float or even half way up she would fly backwards as she just wasn’t confident! So I took her away from the float and worked with the problems! Firstly I worked with getting her to mover her feet then I say, I stood next to her shoulder and asked her to move forward by clicking and touching her with the whip, at the start she would try to run backwards away from the pressure but I kept the pressure on her until she walked forward, as soon and she walked forward where I wanted her to go I released the pressure and gave her a pat, she is a very sensitive and reactive mare so it was very easy to get her to understand what I was asking of her. I then worked with the second problem which was getting her to give to pressure, I started with getting her to back up then without letting her halt I would pull on her halter and asks her to walk forward. I then used the same techniques at the float and once she was in and relaxed I worked with getting her to take one step back then come forward again for a pat, then I would take her half way off the float and ask her to go back up. I was very happy with the last bit of the session today, she was happily walking into the float with very little pressure and was not trying to rush back out, she still isn’t as relaxed about the whole thing as I’d like but I’m sure with more practice that will come See more

05.01.2022 It’s amazing what a bit of TLC can bring out! Felicity had a day in the beauty salon and look what was hidden under all that scruff! Just teeth and feet to go and she will be a new girl!
05.01.2022 Showjumping here we come!
04.01.2022 Really hoping competitions will start up again soon in qld I’m having withdrawals Here’s a flash back to a few years ago, this is Alejandro my $500 pakenham market horse who turned out to be a real gem and a slight overachiever
02.01.2022 Third ride after a week of re-mouthing felicity. She has improved so much in such a short period of time, from a horse that couldn’t handle any pressure in the mouth at all to excepting and seeking the contact in under two weeks! We still have a long way to go and a lot to work on but this lovely little mare is looking like she is going to be something special
