19.05.2022 Hello Everyone It is with a heavy heart I type this post, after 37 years I need to inform the community that my business Shaz’s Massage Therapy will be closing its doors in the next 2 weeks. To the wonderful, supportive clients, I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your absolute continued loyalty over this last nine years since leaving the Coober Pedy Hospital. Words cannot express my gratitude, thanks,and love for your patronage. We had a long term plan for m...oving but it has been brought forward at this stage due to some health issues. Steve and I have loved our time living here and raising a family but it is now time for a New chapter in our lives, for one thing semi-retirement.....Yipppeeeee... We have sold our dugout here and are so happy that is is going to a lovely young couple whom are looking forward to making new memories here. I won’t ramble but we both want to say Thankyou for the many memories that we have had here over the years, the love, friendship, comradeship, support....the list is endless...and yes even the tough battles have been so worth it. Wishing Coober Pedy and it’s residents all our love, keep growing, we hope to be back some day to say hi.....if you’re ever passing by Cowell and want to drop in for a cuppa or a vino or 2 please drop by, we have an open door policy and would love to see you Love Shaz and Steve Baines xxx See more

24.01.2022 Hi All My insuring body have advised that a Cold and Flu policy must be in place due to the COVID-19. If clients are suffering from respiratory infections or flu-like symptoms appointments will need to be rescheduled to a later date. Recent overseas travel will be taken into account when scheduling appts at this time. 17.01.2022 Hello Everyone With the stage 2 restrictions being brought forward to the 1st June, I will be reopening as of Wednesday 3rd June. I wish to advise due to extensive hygiene cleaning after each client, I have reduced the number of avail appts each day. At this stage I have a few emergency appts already pre-booked for Monday 1st-Tuesday 2nd. I am currently contacting regular clients to schedule appts as requested.... As previously informed, I will be doing non-contact temperature readings prior to appointment and if an Elevated temperature is indicated, I will reschedule your appt to another day, ( Dept of Health guidelines) Please reschedule your appt if you have a cold/flu/virus symptoms, allowing 2 weeks post symptoms, this not only helps myself but also other clients from potentially contracting your bug.... The District Council of Coober Pedy has organised an ...Australia Day function commencing at 12:00 pm on Sunday at the pool. The event will include a Welcome to Country, free sausage sizzle, live DJ, magician, Australia Day Awards (Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Event of the Year), and a speech from Australia Day Ambassador Michael O’Connor. This will be a great day for everyone to lift the town’s spirits and celebrate everything we hold dear. I look forward to celebrating with you on Sunday! See more

10.01.2022 Hi all Just an update on when I may be returning back to work, at this stage, dependant on no further Covid-19 cases I should be able to return back to work as of June 8. I am currently working on some procedural changes, including non-contact temperature readings prior to massage as advised by Dept of Health. As we get closer to the date of reopening I will advise further of any additional changes. Thankyou all for your patience and understanding.
