25.01.2022 Here's a list of top performing NBN internet provider's. I highly recommend Aussie Broadband They're locally based, Australian people and customer relations and fault service is great.

25.01.2022 A Client had contacted us with complaints of slow internet and a line scratch and popping noise. Further investigation found that the builder had installed a water pipe inside a wall parallel with the internal communications cabling. The pipe installed is not designed for internal use; as such the pipe had a pin hole with the smallest amount of water mist. It had spread in the wall creating line corrosion in the communications cabling and socket.... *** If you have phone line noise or a poor performing ADSL connection; you may have line corrosion or corroded sockets.*** To get the very best connection from your network provider: Call or email us today. 13.01.2022 Today we saw a client who was concerned because everytime she used her telephone she heard a buzzing noise and had a numbing sensation on her ear. The problem was the phone point was illegally installed in parallel with a powerpoint. Telecommunications cabling must be separated by a minimum of 50mm in parallel with other services. And also terminated at a minimum of 150mm seperation.... Ref: AS/CA S009:2013 Installation Requirements for Customer Cabling (Wiring Rules) Section: 9.2.1 & 9.3.2 Due to this error the client had been exposed to small amounts of electricity and was very lucky she wasn't electrocuted. If in doubt ALWAYS use an OPEN ACMA LICENSED Telecommunications Technician. Never risk you life or anyone else's.

10.01.2022 From everyone at SHCS congratulations to the Western Bulldogs for an epic win. #westernbulldogsfootballclub #aflgrandfinal

10.01.2022 Always take precaution when opening these boxes. This job was an NBN fault. I'd say there's more of a hazard from the Redback spider than from the isolator.

02.01.2022 For anyone experiencing slow nbn speeds; here's a good explanation from nbn. How network congestion can impact your internet experience: Your providers capacity is very important.... When there is more traffic, congestion may occur if your service provider does not have enough network capacity. This can lead to slower speeds and buffering. 01.01.2022 WHY IS MY NBN HFC DROPPING OUT ? This answers why so many people are complaining about slower NBN HFC connections. What is causing the so-called 'interference'... The interference on the network is caused by three separate issues. The first is that the spectrum NBN acquired from Telstra (15-40MHz spectrum) is not, according to critics, designed to be used for super-fast broadband. This leads to the second issue, which is that the spectrum is far more prone to interference. While some Telstra HFC customers were having a great broadband experience prior to being switched over to NBN HFC, this became worse after the changeover, because of the new NBN spectrum they were placed on. This interference occurs in the joints or the "taps" as they are called by engineers between the HFC cable in the street pit and the cable that goes to your house. Because of their age, some of these are deteriorating, causing so-called "leaks". And because HFC networks are a shared service, these leaks then spill over into your neighbours' connections as well, causing their internet to potentially drop out and speeds to deteriorate as well. The third interference issue is the wall-plate in peoples' homes being damaged. The most common way this can occur is by household objects, most often vacuum cleaners, running into them and damaging them. This then causes the same issue as the first, leading to dropouts and slow speeds, sometimes for your entire neighbourhood given there are normally 400-550 people connected to a HFC node (they can handle up to 650). Although the same HFC spectrum is used by other global operators, including cable TV players, they are able to use the spectrum successfully because they keep their networks tight and therefore keep interference to a minimum, the plan NBN is now moving to. The main issue, it seems, was that NBN was activating HFC users faster than it could deliver the required network repairs to combat interference. NBN Co recently examined an area with 100 users and found that in two thirds of cases, it could reduce the noise to a satisfactory level by just fixing the taps. For the other one third, or 30 cases, it is likely that it may need to enter the homes to fix wall-plates or replace the HFC cable between the street pit and house. Alternatively, it may choose to "isolate" users' connections by splitting them off a cable run to reduce noise on their neighbours' connections.
