17.01.2022 Schools Based Traineeships for the Wool Harvesting Industry: More than 50 school kids from Grenfell, Dunedoo, Blaney & Dubbo High Schools attended the inaugural Wool Industry School based Traineeship Information session held at Dubbo TAFE. It was a great opportunity for the kids to come and find out about the process of doing a Wool Industry Traineeship, during years 11 and 12 and meet potential employers. Thanks to Melissa Wortman from NSW Agrifood ITAB, for organising a great event. Also to SCAA members and Committee for their time, AWI and TAFE. Thanks to Dayne West.

07.01.2022 The Fair Work Commission handed down it's decision on the minimum wage increase at the end of last week - a $21.60 per week increase to the minimum wage. All SCAA member Shearing Contractors will be notified of the new rates soon, so as they can increase your pay from Monday 1 July, when they come int effect.
